I know this video was posted a long time ago so I don't know if you'll remember, but do you know what material the pinkish-tan lining layer was made of? To me it seems to have some qualities of a chiffon but more opaque than that. But it also looks pretty lightweight. I'm making my own wedding dress and I'm trying to find a good soft skirt lining material that isn't too heavy but also isn't see through

Good question! From what I remember it is actually made of a a stretch knit material to make the dress more form fitting.

What if the bride is wearing a petticoat under the dress? Do you take into account that?

Nesseire good question! Yes, I would hem the dress with whatever you plan on having underneath the skirt. Especially if it’s giving the gown some volume.

Will this work for lace bottom leggings (fancy legging material pants that have a belled lace bottom to the legs). I need to desperately shorten them (I'm 5'3" and it drags on the ground even in wedges)

Yes this would definitely apply to that if the lace is sewn on the bottom like this one.

When you trim up the lace that was underneath after you moved up the section of lace you moved, how do you keep that from fraying?

This lace naturally doesn’t fray. Most modern bridal laces I’ve worked with don’t 🙂
