this is solid! i would move the full chord shapes to the end of the warm up since they require the most stretching and barre shapes

It's not supposed to be a tricky drill, it's supposed to be a warm up. It should probably say Intermediate or even Advanced warm up in the title. It doesn't even eventually get "tricky" it starts there and stays there.

thanks for the video, I really like this routine. Would you mind droppin the chord progression for the neo-soul chords (the last part of the warmup)?

Just played through this, it's surprisingly tricky but my hands felt more in synch after doing it. There was a song playing in the intro and outro...hoping it's a new track (if not it sounds sweeeet).

What are those chords in the last section of the warm up?
@vulnerablegrowth37742 жыл бұрын
I can’t seem to consistently play the Cmaj7 chord. I often end up with the 1st string getting muted when trying to bar the 7th fret. Any advice?

Yea, I can't get through the first part well with those chords. It would be great if you could make something like this for different levels. Edit: Just practice, it comes along.

@@trinity95624 I'm getting there with the chords finally. They now feel pretty possible even with my smaller hands. I've made a point to practice them with my hands freshly washed, and also concentrating that any barre sections are being pressed by the finger slight turned on it's side seems to get a better/stronger barre. I thought I had my hand strength taken care of when mastering basic CAGED chords, but it looks like it has to be taken up another degree with these Neo Soul extended chords.

I felt the same when i tried the first chord i just stuck to it. Eventually it gets easier. Just do it in small chunks. It pays off in the end.

@@Ganzie2000 Yea, it's definitely working out now since I've spent some time on it. Great workout for actual playability. I don't see a lot out there like that.

@@onefm1 Have a look at 5n I think the tab and the audio is a different or is it me. Need some help on that. Glad you worked hard on the chords.

Why does the Dm work in G major? Trying to get better at understanding deeper theory.
@NastySoulGuitarLessons2 жыл бұрын
So, its a bit tricky in a comment. But basically, the key is actually Dmajor, however that last chord is in the key of Dm 😁
