The young lady in question won the Hemsby jive contest previously with a different partner. She was not trained by Kav and does not even know him that well either. As I said before, these really are only meant to be fun and informal dance contests. Again, I know everyone involved, including all the judges, and I would never put any of them down or make comparisons.

Hello, These are only meant to be fun, informal jive competitions. Any dance contest will always be controversial, as everyone watching has a different opinion. I do understand what you are saying, and it is difficult for me to comment as the 2 couples in question are friends living very local to me. In all honesty I can appreciate their different styles, finding them equally good but in different ways. I guess it is like saying 'tea is better than coffee (or the other way around)!

The winners were the couple I was most drawn to, mainly because of the way the girl moved. Would have preferred more eye contact and more like they were having fun though! Still, better than I could do!

well, the best dancers were the guy in black and with white belt and his madam in green blouse, i do believe. at least the guy was the best with no doubt - just take a look at his footwork! and then compare it with 'winner's' one...)) by the way what about little richard's good golly miss molly - i've heard it, too.

still can't agree with tea-coffee version - actually the winner-guy does not even dance - all he does it's just change his place on the dance floor! those look more like some steps but not a dance.)) anyway...
