This is why customer service people consistently get b*tched at. You have employees who stick by what they were trained to do. They get chewed out by customers, then when someone over them deals with it, bam. Suddenly you are the bad guy, and do not know how to do your job, cause they give the customers what they want to “make them happy and keep their business”. Now your stuck looking like an as*hole and get told “a monkey could do your job.” Then management comes to you in a way similar to this video. I honestly believe it is just a way to make lower level employees look bad on purpose, and give upper management a reason to let people go because of “lack of performance, or whatever….

Yes, call center customers are definitely trained to ask for managers because they'll get what they want.

I was a superisor at a banking call center for 5 years. If one of my reps called for a fee reversal approval I would ask "whats your reasoning, and what do you think is appropriate?". If they had sound logic I'd approve 100% of the fees reversed. 8 out of 10 times i would approve, 1 of 10 I would recommend a bit more refund, the rest would be less or a no.

I'm trying to figure out what the Super V joke means. I have a couple different ideas, but I'm not sure about any of them.

Lololol😂 you definitely got to let everyone know when you get the "Super V" joke. I mean be it 2am or on the way to work. You'll say it out loud and instantly know.
