It is improbable! Your videos breathe me in! Continue in the same spirit!:))) I want to know about your day... @@hendosbricklaying2003 Yes! I am a bricklayer! I am 18 years old. I started doing masonry seriously at 15 - as my parents and many relatives are closely associated with construction (and some of them with brickwork)! I also took special brickwork courses for 6 months. 3 years ago, when I first tried, I was interested in this job! Very much it was pleasant to me! I began to study aspects and the work itself from scratch and in various countries (including Australia). I get brick masonry easy. I get into work quickly! I have a real interest... This job motivates me! I am physically very strong and resilient - as the 6th year is already engaged in various power physical loads, so the masonry of bricks and blocks - this work is clearly for me! Buddy! And I myself from Belarus, from the city of Grodno! My native language is Russian, which I speak, but I can also speak English at the middle level so far, as I continue to study English in the process! Australia attracts me the most for life and work from all possible countries, on this there are many reasons why exactly and only Australia! In the country I live in now - futility, pay is low, conditions are not at all what I would like to have - we have a cool climate - it is really cold and raw here most of the time of the year when you really work outdoors! You can leave me your Social Networks or Email contacts... I am writing to you personally and I will send pictures of my work on the masonry work!...

I have a builder working on my property who has laid bricks with hardly any mortar on the sides only top and bottom and only 1mm if that on the sides. He has then chipped the brick from the front and added cement to make it look like 10mm. I have told him this isn't acceptable but he insists it is. Can i get your opinion please
@hendosbricklaying20034 жыл бұрын
K Pathan I am assuming you are talking about the perp which is the mortar vertical line in between the two bricks. The Australian standard is 10mm + or - 3mm tolerance so a minimum perp of 7mm and a maximum perp of 13mm. 1mm perp definitely wouldn’t be accepted by standards. Where are you located ?
@kpathan55044 жыл бұрын
@@hendosbricklaying2003 yes you are correct it is the vertical lines between the bricks. And I am located in the UK. I don't think that level is acceptable here either but I think the builder is taking advantage that the inspector can't come out because of the virus. Do you think I should make him rip it down and start again

You don’t ever put mortar on a dry board. barrel mixer for mixing mortar doesn’t even make proper mortar period. Get yourself a 4.5cu ft mortar mixer from multiquip. Brand new it’s about 2000 Dollars here in the states. This mixes faster and does the job properly, they have electric and a gas version as well. I’ve stuffed these mixers completely full with about 6 cu ft of mortar and they can handle it. Just need to get the mixer up off the ground so a wheelbarrow gets under it. My cloths stay cleaner and the job site is cleaner around the mortar mixer. One job and it has paid for itself then you are making your money back and then more because of time.
