Thanks..!!! I've put a ton of time into studying his playing style over the past 10 years, I started out playing the guitar in the late 1970's...Jimi has always been a great source of inspiration through the years... P E A C E ~

Thanks, I was just jammin' here...this was not done as a "lesson" - I will get into how this is played and show the chords and how it all works together during my guitar seminar this August. As for the amps, they are the real deal - A 1969 100-watt Marshall head w/greenback speakers & A 1968 Fender Dual Showman with a 2x15 cab. - Like Jimi, they are both running together at the same time.... Thanks Again... P E A C E ~

Hey Phil, I don't know if you remember, but I took lessons from you at Splash back in the late 90s. The stuff you taught me has always carried. (Even if I don't practice as much as I should. Looking forward to more videos.

Nice! The one big difference I notice about Jimi's playing compared to other guitarists is how relaxed his hands look when he's playing. Your years of practice paid off.

That is some fine strumming there cat. I dig that tune I should learn this one but doing thumb wraps on an acoustic with big strings is gonna be a challenge!

Wow that really is an awesome jamming song don't you think!? Also, did you learn Hendrix's style from the start or did you just find that your style was similar and take it from there?

He knows that it's _critical_ . So many guitarists covering JH but they just don't get it.
