🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Pound for pound it would appear to me that Paul O D is the best rower in the world right now... ✅

Wow, the Irish almost caught a crab at the end!

The only evidence of crabs quite probably are in your pants. Your boyfriend should be warned.

The only thing I say about Paul's technique is that I find him come out of the water a bit too quickly. Why not keep the blade under water for a little longer and get that extra bit of run at the finish?!

🤷🏻♂️seems to be a winning formula...so why change🤷🏻♂️

If you compare his finish to his partner's, it seems like his blades come out of the water a bit higher. Wonder if that impacts their speed?

This just shows that dividing rowers by weight class is nonsense.

Not really - this is the best LWM2x in the world , vs not the best M2X
@Simon-xi8tb3 жыл бұрын
@@gearoidmoore7472 Ok I get that, but still i don't get weight classes in rowing. You still need to move your weight around. The reason weight classes were introduced is because they wanted to increase rowing popularity in Asian countries.
@sandernightingale3 жыл бұрын
@@Simon-xi8tb It's simple. Higher weight == more muscle mass when taking about athletes. Potentially higher speeds. The weight itself will not increase the drag through the water as much. A lot of sports have weight classes for a reason.

This only shows how good those lightweight rowers are. Nothing more.

Gives an option for an even playing field, and the most exciting races. Main thing it shows is that coaches should select by weight adjusted erg score, never raw. Also, there are exactly zero boat classes where the world best Lwt time is faster than the best Hwt time, so extra size is confirmed to be an advantage overall.
