Some HUGE News for Fantasy and TTRPG fans today on The Character Sheet, as Henry Cavill, fresh off being fired as Superman in the DCU by James Gunn, has reportedly been given his dream Warhammer 40k Show on Amazon Prime video! Base on the Warhammer 40K miniatures games that Henry Cavill loves and talks about during dozens of interviews, Cavill will not only star in the Warhammer series, but he will also executive produce!
Hopefully this level of control will keep Henry Cavill from another Witcher situation like he found himself in with Netflix!

Lmao the hate. 90% of gaming adaptation/live action of fictional properties are made by people literally couldnt care less about it, most of Phase 4 Marvel, the majority of DCEU, later seasons of the Witcher, later season of GoT, Modern star wars, anything from Netflix except the Sandman (literally made by the original author) At least, with a genuine fan thats whole heartedly know the material being the EP, we got less of a chance of a shit show.

Cavill won't be writing it, but will get to approve what others do in the creative/production team. I see it as a win, because with decent writers and Cavill's supervision, it can be shaped into the form 40k deserves.

Shame amazon are forcing female custodes into the lore just before he makes the show and with the likley outcome to have a female custode be a star of the show as it is now official lore/cannon, and Henry wont be able to deny them as it is now part of the lore (albeit artificially forced)

If the stars aline (as in it can’t just be really good, it has to be really good at the right time) this could be the birth of a new Star Wars. I know 40k has been around for decades but I think this could make it explode.
