When I saw UDS motors in that condition I’d just automatically bin them but after seeing this I’ll definitely give it ago and try revive them cheers

@@steve_o379 to be fair I set out to film this yesterday and when I opened it up and saw the state of it I thought it was going to be an epic failure. Ive probably binned much better condition ones over the years too. 😂

Fantastic advice. I have a few twin motor units used for belt sanders and the table saw. I have had to change out the motors a couple of times as the commutator was damaged beyond help. Recently I had to service 1 machine with just 1 motor working, but as I checked there was no burning smell. To my amazement after opening it up I saw 1 of the original motors still in place and just the brushes had worn down. It must had done a ton of work in the 9 years I've been at my place of work, and it looked old when I started. I'll swap it out now, but using this video I'll clean it up and keep it as a spare. Thanks.
