More likely a professional copyist - the elaborate initial letters, a holdover from before the invention of printing, look like the work of someone who did it for a living.

I really doubt this is Henry VIII's own writing, he probably created a draft, the court composer took a look at it, made some minor corrections and had it copied by a scribe. The king himself probably wrote the usual cursive of his times and class

I've been close up to two pieces of Henry VIII's armour. He was a GIANT in Tudor times - 6 feet 1 inch (just over 1 metre 85 centimetres)

I love this, and I love the special scale, which is different to us. I can hear a major pattern at the end of the phrases. It sounds like a sexy song, a bit irresponsible, like King Henry the XIII succumbs to his passion, and sexual urges, which he calls love (live) or something. Nice to hear how it would have been prounounced back then.

Yes. This is pre-Early Modern English based on the pronunciation scheme of the German linguist Theo Stemmler. It is still different from Shakespearean / Elizabethan English.

I usually also add extensive notes about the pieces in the Description section, as you have noticed. By the way, I have family in Rome and Perugia. Italy is wonderful this time of year.
