Thank you ❤ Intimidated to read this due to the shear size of it and it's subject matter. A lot to cover and get through but props to Alison Weir for tackling Henry and managing to craft what sounds like a decent book. It could nearly have been two books. Not surprised it was fast past as like I said there were just too many events and moments to squeeze in.

Definitely, I’d have happily taken more pages or a second book like she did for her coverage of Elizabeth I.

Fascinating book. Years ago, I read Six Wives: The Queens of Henry VIII by David Starkey.

Never read any Starkey myself!

Looking forward to getting to this one eventually. I’ve just started book 3 of the Six Tudor Queens series which I’m enjoying.

That’s my favourite one of the six!

I absolutely loved the book but the audiobook 👀 sounds like it was read by a robot! I’ve always wanted to read Margret George’s version but the font in the book is so hard to read and there isn’t an audiobook available in the UK🫠 Have you started Mary’s book yet?

I haven’t yet! I did preorder the audiobook but I may be tempted to save getting to it until the paperback comes out 🤔
