Palmer did great but you should know it's way easier coming on as a sub and looking good. Foden on left wing is a big problem the media don't wanna talk about and Bellingham not too good in 10 position. Foden has played bad for England for years with or without a left back

Nobody is talking about the left back situation. It isn’t working, I would be tempted to play saka at left back. He is left footed and started his career at left back I believe. Perhaps we could play wing backs Trent and saka. Go 3 at the back, which means stones can play a sweeper type role, meaning he can bring the ball into midfield like he does for Man City. Palmer has to start, even if it means dropping Bellingham.

I have a weird thought that Southgate is going to do the following - With Foden going back to the UK, I think Southgate will use that as an excuse to drop him on Sunday, by saying he is tired and has not trained - Then England play the very mediocre team and WIN and Southgate will then use that as a reason for keeping a winning team - Southgate has never known how to deal with the Foden / Bellingham situation and this situation is going to play right into his hands BUT I hope I am wrong as Foden should be in that team

Fans want to see competence. Not bringing a fit LB is ridiculous. I think to be a football manager you need to have a player for each position. Putting Trippier there is emergency back up, after your 2 selected are hurt or banned. If Pickford was injured going into the tournament would it be acceptable to not bother with reserve keepers? Just stick Trips in there yeah, rush goalie? It's not even P.E. teacher level.
