More changes to my Henry Ford plumbing parts engine. I moved the throttle from the intake manifold over to the fuel tank. I also changed the ignition point setup. Instead of auto ignition points running of the crankshaft, I'm now using a microswitch running off the camshaft. This cause the spark plug to fire only on the compression stroke which should save battery and plug. It also keeps the engine from firing on off stroke which is was doing if it fuel didn't ignite on the regular compression stroke.

@SthealthRaider The outer part of the cylinder is made from a cast iron plumbing tee screwed onto a nipple which is screwed into a flange for the base. The plumbing tee was bored out to fit the OD on the cylinder liner which was made from a piece of cast iron rod, bored and interference fitted to the tee. A plug was fitted into the bottom of the tee so it would be water tight.

@briggs5sboy - That's a water tank that stores coolant. It gets cycled through the cylinder water jacket by convection when the cylinder get's hot.

I dont know if you still has this engine or if you are still wanting to work on it but to make the mixture run not so lean try let the gas have more contact with air inside the container, you can use a big glass bottle laid on the side or something like that.

Thanks for the comment. You are right, a larger surface area of the fuel and a larger space above the fuel both help make the mixture richer.

@attpureownpk - As long as it just idling, it will run pretty much until it runs out of fuel without getting too hot.
