Went to multiple gun stores to find a 360 with wood stock with no luck. Found one today at local Walmart. Only had one big caliber henry and it was a 360. Less than $900 too.

Anyone remember the 375 Winchester "Big bore 94"? It was a straight wall cartridge based on the 30 30 brass came out in the mid 70s, i always thought it was an excellent idea but it just never caught on, as for taking elk with your .360 i don't see any problem whatsoever, my dad and granddad both kept a freezer full of elk with their 30x30s

I have my fair share of Henry products, to the point they should be sending a free one. The issue I have is the availability and price of the ammo for this one. It’s new enough that brass and loading data are non-existent so loading your own does not help. It looks good but lacks economy.

30-30 with the lever reveloution ammo has pretty good balistics. And if you reload you can use pointed ammo and chamber one and 1 in the tube you practically have a 308.lol

Cool videos. I'm glad to see more lever actions out, but I don't see the support for it yet. No ammo in stores. No load data published. I'd rather my 35 Remington. I don't see much gain from this round. Luckily I don't need straight wall.

Great Video!... Nice Levergun!... But I am not impressed by the Cartridge... To me it is just another "Novelty Cartridge" that won't be around in 10 years.... I could be wrong, but I doubt it... I guess if you are in a Communist State that only allows for Straight Walled Cartridges, it makes sense... I dunno... Me personally, because of availability, I'd choose one of the "Legend" Cartridges, or maybe the 450 Bushmaster.... Basically all the 360 Buckhammer is, is a 30-30 Winchester Case with a bigger Projectile and no Bottleneck...

The only advantage the 360 buckhammer has over the 350 legend is its availability in a tube fed lever action. Because the 350 legend can be loaded with pointed bullets, it has trajectory and energy that can match and exceed the buckhammer despite lower velocities. The legend also has far less recoil. Henry would do well to chamber their long ranger in 350 legend, that would be the best of both worlds!

This cartridge would really shine in your single shot rifles! It has a rim and headspaces on it, can be loaded down and use 357 mag bullets, can use pointed 358 bullets, and cases can be made from 30-30 Win. I don’t like the 350 Legend because it headspaces on the mouth of the cartridge and with the chamber pressure of 55,000, it will cause problems. Also, it is a proprietary case.

He removed them because of deep pockets. If he falls and breaks scope off to town he goes but us old timers just take the scope off and keep hunting with the iron sights 😜

If Winchester, Henry or Marlin (Ruger) were smart they would develop a lever gun in 350 Legend and sell more than they could produce. The 350 Legend can be used in the AR platform, bolt guns and the S&W X Frame revolver. If there were a lever gun in 350 Legend it would corner the straight wall cartridge market. The 360 appears to be a totally capable hunting round, I just have no need for it here in Texas.

The problem with the 350 Legend in a lever gun is that it headspaces on the mouth of the cartridge and with lever guns, you need to crimp the case. Also, the chamber pressure is 55,000. This would cause problems.

Beautiful rifle, but they sell it in senseless places. I'm in ny where bottlenecks are legal so it's almost pointless. It's nothing to do with performance but accessibility. First thing the seller told me at my local runnings is "your gona have a hard time finding ammo". That's one way to kill a sale before it even gets off the ground. Just made me wonder, of all the places you could send it why fucking new york? It's gona sit there for months even a year untill someone gets suckered into it. I guarantee after it's been sitting on the shelf for that long, they won't be so quick to tell potential buyers that the ammo is almost impossible to come by.

I don't see why they are faddish. And the goal is not to replace but to supplement. There are stupid restrictive laws, requiring straight wall for deer in much of the Midwest. And the industry responds with innovation, it's the American way. Granted, if someone already has legacy firearms in legacy calibers, there's maybe no point. But for someone starting from scratch these are a great option. 360 has better ballistics than 45-70 for distance and better terminal ballistics over 30-30 and 35 Rem. Not necessary for whitetails, but why not? For someone who enjoys lever actions this caliber seems like the best of both worlds. And 350 Legend makes hunting with the scary ey-ahr more normal, I don't see how that hurts. Nobody is pushing anything, this is Henry's channel. Personally I won't be switching to 360 but if I had to advise a beginner, I'd totally recommend this one. And these Henry lever actions are awesome. I want one in 30-30.

Over 1.5" group at 100 is NOT that great! i have shot 2 Henry rifles 44mag and 45-70 both shoot under an Inch at 100. I would give advice doing a Video for Henry you would have a better setup to shoot off of. Now if your doing a video for yourself then do what you want but doing a professional video for Henry, DO Better! At 200 your saying it only had a 2" drop and had a 1" group at 200 so half MOA? SO much wrong with this video!

Nice rifle but I do not see in the catalog one with that long of a barrel. The only one I see is a 20 inch version. The one you have has a much longer barrel. Cheater. Yours is not stock.

The Henry is a great rifle but the 360 Buckhammer is not a great cartridge. With competition like the 350 Legend in straight wall states, it will fail to catch on. As for the rest of the states, the 356 Win. and 375 Win. failed, even though they were nearly identical to the 360 Buckhammer's performance in every way. The .35 Rem. which is about 100 fps slower than the 360 Buckhammer is slowly dying and the 30-30 and 45-70 rule the lever action rifle market. The 30-30 is perfect for deer and other medium game, while the 45-70 takes care of the bigger and dangerous game.
