I love your last shot Henry, Top Drawer! Really clean image just right. Nice warm glow in the horizon and beautiful reflection on the water. I also love the foreground elements of the grass. Well done. You live in a beautiful area and there is never too many people around!

Hi Henry, just wanted to say that you are one of the few UK you tube photography vloggers that has maintained a consistent output during the lockdown, you have taken on the challenge of local photography that all us mere mortals have to face. You promote the idea that not every trip has to bag a portfolio shot and regardless of location and conditions you can learn and grow as a photographer. I appreciate how much work must go into planning your topics, ideas and locations and I think your growing number of subscribers is your just rewards - keep it up BUT don’t forget your hat again 😱

I'm liking the wild hair, own it! 😁 I go back again when I've found what I think is a good shot and an element isn't there. I'll go until it comes together. Sometimes there are spots that are one hit/miss wonders I've never gone back. No regrets so far. Haha. Shapes and contrast is fun to do because at times, that's what it is all about. Cheers, Henry! Thanks again!

Thanks Henry - I have been out on the sands (Ulverston end) again and again lately - I keep thinking I will go elsewhere but it always draws me back. Sunrise, sunset and even mid-day, tide in, tide out - it is different every time. Thanks for the book tip - ordered! Have fun............

I couldn't hear your bird. But from your description, I agree with the consensus that it's either an oystercatcher (mostly black, red beak) or an avocet (mostly white, thin black beak curved upwards).

another creaking positive creation from you.... I liked the tip about removing sun burst! Bird, unable to see it but black & white with long beak most likely an oyster catcher; a curlew is more browns with a long curved down beak.

So funny you posted this today. I felt frustrated yesterday not being able to come up with a place to go to for some pictures. There's this river-place nearby but i thought i've been there done that. Not worth going anymore. Also felt this morning like i'm not gonna go anywhere, 'nothing to see out there' - type of feeling. Just watched this video of yours and your love for photography is so contagious it just makes me inspired ❤️ Just found your channel pretty recently and dig you already! I'm quite sure I have mentioned this before in comments on other videos on this channel, I'm new to digital, but returning to photography after 20plus/odd years away from it (film) and I KNOW just what you mean Henry about not wanting to keep going back to the same spots. What with lockdowns and so forth going on my locations within supremely easy striking distance are a local old little (Victorian?) church/graveyard, and a somewhat scruffy little local park. But now I've watched this video I see what I NEED to do is, go back there but look at things from different angles and points of perspective see the places in different ways. Perhaps got to the far end of the path I have shot down as a "leading line" and shoot BACK the way I came for a change. As always Henry I have learned something from watching, thanks again your "HENthusiasm" remains infectious and inspirational

I think every serious photographer has, or really should have, a subject they like to photograph over and over. For most, it is usually outdoor location because of the great lighting, and the luxury of focusing near or far. It also serves as a reference standard for testing new gear, and new techniques. It also serves as a benchmark to see how well your skills are progressing.

Just home from a visit to a local ship wreck tonight and it was an ultra low tide so was able to approach to a really close distance which gave me a chance to get a composition that I haven't taken before.
