You pointed out a key aspect for me: Scrintal's visual appeal is way better than Heptabase's, but in terms of functionality, Heptabase is far more complete. The daily journal feature is something I’m currently using for work notes, and the way Heptabase handles it stands out as a great feature for me

atleast they could have made it free for a limited card size or something so some users can use and try it for some time and decide whether to purchase pro version

Tags and Templates too

I mean more super tag type abilities, adding extra fields to tags a bit like Tana does. e.g. a person tag can have a company field based upon a company tag and then select from one of the options. It acts like a database. If you treat the notes like Tana treats nodes it unlocks alot. I also love the template feature where you can select a useful layout of text as template, give it a name and add it into any other note e.g. a daily list template.

Yeah, Notion just integrates in everything and has the most features.

Heptabase is a different beast. It's primarily for visual-spatial thinkers who struggle with text-only tools.

This looks like Apple Freeform, which is free for Mac users.
