This song, bro. I'm not in her shoes, but it resonated with me on a mother's level. I'm happily married, but I work 12 hours a day/5-6 days a week with a 6 year old at home. There's no one. . .and I mean NO ONE who can make you feel happiness and who shows pure love and concern outside of your child. Talking to my son the way she talks to her child. . .He understands more that you can possibly know. I would not have listened to this if you guys hadn't reacted to it. Thank you for introducing me.

The voice notes in the song were part of her therapy. And you were right, she wrote the record for her son explaining this point in her life and her divorce and all that, so that when he is older hopefully it will help him understand..she said she didn't think she could do it face to face with him.

The instrumentals with her voice were absolutely mesmerizing. The lyrics are raw and she trusts us enough to share. You know she was an only child, she is talking to us like we are family and she can safely bare her soul. There is no one like her, most are forgettable, she is not. I relate to this in a way that I'm hiding my pain for my loved ones, which can be family and close friends. And it feels like putting on a mask, such a guilty feeling when sometimes you can tell from their faces that they know you're not doing that okay. I prefer being on my own too, but have experienced a very lost feeling in the past year and maybe haven't accepted that it may actually be loneliness.

Man, me and my ex broke up when my son was 4 years old. He was so devastated, angry even depressed. I was devastated, depressed, had huge guilt, shame myself. We both had therapy it was and still is horrible. He's 8 now, it gets better but still hurts. Even as a grown up I still grieve my parents break up

She said she didn’t even know who she was ... she stated she’s the one who just left everything . Picked up and got a new house for herself . Her son and ex husband still have their old home they all had together and she moved out and left. That’s why in this song she’s taking all the blame “ sorry if the things I did made you sad”, because she’s the one that wanted the divorce. But she said her son comes to her house whenever he wants of course . Heavy shit
