The most fun I have watching is when you two are taking trips in the Big Wave, or going camping in Slayer. The shop stuff is cool, but lots of cars shows are about fixing up cars. You guys taking road trips after you fix up a car and doing the spontaneous stuff is what I think Gnarly Speed Shop is all about. It's a great story of starting from nothing and taking us along on the journey.

Good job Olivia. As you probably already know, you don't learn how to do bodywork and paint overnight. It takes time. I'm sure it took Danny time to learn it too. That's so cool that you are learning to do it the right way. Danny is a patient, good teacher. Good on both of you! Well done! You will make mistakes along the way. Don't be discouraged. So what. They can be fixed, and you will learn. That's the way it goes. It is a learning curve. No one does it perfect right out of the gate, ever! You have the right attitude! You will get it!

Olivia, you are doing extremely well, and more than almost any young Ladies would be willing to do, and most young men in today's America, so don't get discouraged. We are all better at certain things than other things, even if it is working on cars, but a true mechanic can and are willing to try and learn to do everything, just like you are trying to do, but all of it takes time, and some learn quicker or slower than others, just don't get discouraged!👍😁

It was fun to see you try these new tasks which, I believe most of us have forgotten the excitement of learning. It's refreshing to see someone have an excitement. As far as Mopars, you'll get your connection when that thing draws blood. Mopars seek it. They're full of surprises, especially on the receipts lol

Nice job guys. Great mentoring by Danny and apprentice skills there Liv. I am a mechanic of over 30 years and train apprentices all the time so I know how it goes. I have been doing my best to teach my wife to work on her classic as well. She has a 67' Skylark and we dropped a hot Buick 350 and 4 speed into it together. We have been building a rear axle for it this winter. We both enjoy your shows. I would like to also mention I believe we both very much know your situation on your discussion at the beginning. I try very much to include my wife on projects for her car, but sometimes the timeline of getting it done forces me to just plow through it. She wants to be involved as it is her car. She does very well doing the work but only has so much time available. Ultimately she wants it drivable so sometimes I just have to get it done. By they way. At the beginning of the video where you guys were doing the body hammer work around the door latch Danny mentioned he did not know the name of the counter sunk divets in the sheet metal. Those are called dimples. We use them in aviation sheet metal work for counter sunk rivets. There is a press tool with dimple dies that presses that dimple into the metal. Keep up the good work.

Everyone has their preferences over what works best, but I’ll tell you something I found works fantastic on stripping paint and rust off irregular surfaces , they make a type wire wheels that are “cupped” with a very stiff and heavier type wire , that have spiraled strands , and a stem for use in hand tools . You of coarse have to be careful and for sure wear eye and skin protection , but I put them in my die grinder, and you can have something like the bottoms of that door down to bare metal in a very short time . Maby give that a try sometime ! I think you’d like the results . And thanks for the videos , they’re awesome to watch !

Alivia & Dan you are doing great & are a great team & complement each other. I sure hope the commenters didn’t make you feel like you had to address us. My father always said if you don’t learn something every day in what you do in your career you’re in the wrong career. I am a carpenter of over 20 yrs, which is a similar field where you learn more the more you do & also learn from others you work with. Not everyone is book smart & can retain it. We learn by doing & doing & doing till we can do it correctly. I make it a point to learn or teach others all the tricks of the trade & when it comes down to it we are all creative & can learn & do the same job correctly but how are most comfortable and productive. Keep up the great work & great videos !!

Thanks for sharing this info, I don't see any problem with your content or the timing of how fast/slow projects take. That's keeping it real you know, having jobs is normal and fitting time in to work on projects is how most of us do it. I don't feel you need to explain that but appreciate you guys for saying so ❤. I know nothing about metal work or welding, would I like to, heck yeah, so I get where Olivia is coming from wanting to be more part of the Charger build and no take away from Danny's hard work/time. look forward to Danny teaching Liv these skills, share it with us if you like or on your own. Likewise Liv teaching Danny some office skills etc. I'm just here to enjoy whatever you guys want to share. ❤️🍻 Glad to see you masked up and looking awesome with your hair up in a pony tail Liv! Great team work guys! I've never welded/painted and you are doing great Liv, having Danny by your side and you both having patience is the key. You guys are getting me motivated to try this one day on my project truck... 78 Bronco that needs more work than I can do solo, with no expert help at my side. My vote is still black but with gold flames or pin striping to match the Gnarly Speed Shop logo, or vice versa, gold with black flames/striping.
