I haven't seen a hair stylist take their time and really have a conversation about their clients hair to the client if this is a consultation you set the bar so high you're doing a great job I wish you were in every salon❤

Thank you! I find that most stylists just tend to talk "at" their clients vs talking to them. It would be a collaborative effort to help them reach their hair goals based on the stylist's expertise and knowledge.

I love to see these types of consultations where you take the time to discuss what needs to be cut and why, but also make sure that the client is ok with it. That’s so important, especially for naturals like me who have struggled for years to see any meaningful growth. To leave a salon with inches of your hair gone that you were not expecting to be cut can really be devestating.

If it burn out by relaxers it gone forever. Happen to my hair on the side. She told me it would never grown thick again in that area and sure she was completely right decades later. Chemical burn kills those follicle and when they gone their gone. It like a burn on your skin that burns thorough it will heal but it will never look like your other skin. My hair is thick so it hides it pretty good that the hood side about it. When I get old and hair naturally thin to age it might show up a lot more.

I cannot wait to sit in your chair. As soon as I get settled into my new place I promise I'm coming to you so you can grow out my hair. I keep watching your videos and I'm taking care of my hair. In one year I have two trims (5-6 months apart I do not use heat tools). I wrote under a post before that I would only trust you to apply heat to my hair lol. And my hair is the healthiest it's ever been. I hope I'm able to be one of your success stories! 🤞🏽💚

Reading the live comments, what's wrong with the Felicia Leatherwood brush? It's tearing up ends?!
@tracienatural2405
@tracienatural2405 4 ай бұрын
I just got the Felicia Leatherwood brush. My ends were fine before using it. After 3 uses, my ends were so bad I had to cut off about 3 inches. Trying to stay optimistic but I've been a bit down about it, because my hair was doing so well before I used that brush 😔 It's gonna take a while to grow back, but I am working on improving my nutrition (I'm vegan) so hopefully it will help.

In your professional opinion what do you think about using olaplex no 6 and no 7 as heat protection when blow drying natural hair?

@@AfrikanHairGodI’m curious as to why? Did you ever speak on Olaplex on your channel?
@AfrikanHairGod
@AfrikanHairGod 4 ай бұрын
@@LetThereBeLight1111 it doesn't work. Everyone that I see using it beforehand with damaged hair still has damaged hair. The people using it consistently with healthy hair still has healthy hair. There's no notable impact one way or the other especially for a brand that so expensive. Plus most people aren't using it properly or the way it was truly intended anyway which is for hair color... But I've had clients that had their hair color formulated with the original olaplex, before they became a commercial brand(with another stylist) and they still needed to have all their color removed because it didn't prevent their hair from being damaged and compromised from chemical processing. I don't talk about it because most people don't want to listen to truth or reality and will instead just argue that it just "works".
