Kyle, the last part of this video made me cry. I was in vietnam back in august-sept with my wife and daughter. I brought my mom to vietnam. The place where you parted was the last place i got to hug my mom. It reminded of that moment. Im hoping to see her again, but life is just too difficult to maintain with sacrifices. I miss my mom, and my in-laws so much. Vietnam is the country that i was not born in, but my heart belongs to it.

Durian reminds me of the time I bought fish jerky in Hawaii. I had to give it away, it smelled so bad I couldn't eat it and my hotel room was stanky. Chau will be missed by us all. It was nice to see Kyle doing his representing Vietnam again.

Viet Somtam! And the bubble tea chain is called 阿里山贡茶 (Alishan Gong), from Taiwan. I remember taking the small train up Alishan to see the sunrise. Thought it was gonna be warm up there at 4:30 in the morning, how wrong I was. Shorts and flip flops and T-shirt was not a good idea. P.S. a lot of people like the winter melon, but I’ve never been a fan of it. Also looks like you’ve improved your durian eating skills, haha. In your video with Trevor James you were like…… Can I do this? Lol. Looks like this was Chau’s moment of reckoning 😅.

What's the difference between northern and southern pho? Which is more common here in America? I love chicken pho but I was unaware there was two different styles

North more MSG, less sweet, less vegetable (only onion, no others such as bean sprouts, herbs). In USA mostly southern Phở because over 2mil southern Vietnamese people moved to USA after VN-USA war.

Northern is simple but more flavor. Southern styles is more common here in the States. If I have to pick, northern pho hands down, not even a debate. Trust me. I love pho, and know what I'm talking about.
