The lip filler is ridiculous. I always thought of plastic surgery as being a matter of enhancement or preservation, or alterations when necessary, but REALISTIC alterations! Why would you want it to be obvious that this isn't really you? Same thing with wearing 5 pounds of makeup. I get wearing lots of makeup to achieve a particular look or style, but this just doesn't feel like that. It feels more desperate. Not to mention that the style these girls usually go for is now not only very generic, but is actually starting to look a bit dated.

Being the secondary care giver to a kid in boarding school makes sense. It forces the kid's dad to actually get to know his kid before it's too late and she can take turns visiting America or having her kid over, wherever she decides to live, on her kid's school holidays.

Totally get the "getting used to fillers" thing. I went to a very expensive day and boarding school and knew a lot of very rich families. This isn’t normal even with the wealthy. There was a definite lack of parental supervision with a lot of kids but not to the extent that their parents were absentee. It was more that the kids had the money to get into a bit of trouble (ie party drugs) than jet setting parents who didn’t give a shit. Our school was pretty permissive which made it very easy to skip and kids would naturally take advantage. They were extremely reluctant to expel anyone because it looked bad, so it kind of fostered an environment where you could get away with a lot. I knew a guy who brought coke to school semi-regularly because locker inspections weren’t a thing, nor were bag checks. You would go to parties that were supervised by parents (technically) but there would be copious amounts of alcohol and cigarettes. That’s the kind of thing you see, much more than kids being neglected or left alone because their parents want to act like they don’t have kids. Abandoning your kid - even if you can afford to travel - is just awful no matter your socioeconomic status.
