I think you were upfront and honest with her as well as giving her a solution to the issue. It was a class act by not taking any money. Would her fiance also use an edger to go along all the seams of the bricks? I'm not sure if those are a pad of 2x2 concrete or regular bricks.

It is the better part of Valor to be truthful and be up front with her. To clean up all around the paver, will take a lot of time. Using a shovel to clean it up will be a real pain and time consuming, because I notice a lot of them are all uneven.

Yes I feel you. The shovel won't move smoothly over a lot of it from clanking against the loose brick. The whole job is a lot.
