Prince is all over this song. He did the keyboards for her. ✨ She came up with lyrics while listening to "Little Red Corvette".

I’ve seen Stevie a couple times. She’s a great storyteller. She told us about the creation of this song: She said she had the lyrics to this track but couldn’t come up with a melody and sound…then she was driving around LA and heard Prince “Little Red Corvette”. She fell in love with the sound of the keys. She said she phoned Prince although she was kinda intimidated by him because she was in awe of his creativity. She told him about her song and her problems coming up with a melody. Prince immediately flew to LA, met her in the studio, he effortlessly laid down the keys. He told her it was a gift to her and didn’t want credit for it. So Prince helped make this a #1 song that propelled her album up the charts. She always puts a beautiful tribute in Purple in her shows. 💜

I love y’all for showcasing Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac. And I love seeing your reactions and how y’all listen to the words and how she evokes every emotion into everything she does. She’s got this raspy sort of power behind every one of her songs and she really doesn’t disappoint.she was one of the few female rockers who brought it. I think Stevie strikes accord with just about everybody who appreciates good music and good lyrics.

Stevie Nicks had a very successful solo career. She was the first female singer to be inducted twice in the Rock and Roll Hall Fame. Once for Fleetwood Mac and the second time as a solo artist. Check out her other great songs "Nightbird" and "If anyone Falls in Love." Happy Easter to you and your family!

The White Witch! Stevie Nicks is probably my favorite female vocalist of all time. She’s so awesomely talented and she just oozes charisma. I’ve seen her solo in concert and of course I’ve seen her with Fleetwood Mac. She’s absolutely beautiful and she has owned the moniker of The White Witch for decades now. This is one her best. Thank you for this gorgeous song on this beautiful Sunday. Happy Easter to you guys and to your audience!

I feel bad for her actually. She's been labeled a witch since 1976 and she is not. No matter how many times she gives interviews people insist on it.

@@becomethestar I think she takes the witch thing with humor now. She appeared on 2 seasons of American Horror Story in which she portrayed a white witch. She sang on those episodes as well. She also did music for the movie Practical Magic which was about witches. I dare say she’s probably embraced that moniker with a great deal of humor. It doesn’t matter though. She’s amazing, witch or not.

@Kelli Franklin She's been trying to set it straight for so many years. It's ok to like to wear black and to accept work but try to consider a stigma that's untrue that's been carried her entire life because a song and the way she dresses. Also consider that it has caused her to receive hate. If being a practitioner was illegal, she would be jailed. During the witch trials she would've been tortured over a false rumor for liking to wear black. Consider how false rumors continue to be perpetuated and why we disrespect people we care about. If she truly were a witch, it would be absolutely fine, but she is not. No one likes to be labeled something they are not. She is an amazing person. I don't think people's intentions are to hurt or disrespect her in any way, but to look at it, it's not who she is.

@@becomethestar Again, I refer you to the things she’s done recently in terms of actually portraying a witch on a tv show just a few years ago and her doing the music for a movie about witches. I think at her age she’s probably come to terms with that aspect of life in terms of how people perceive her. If she’s on shows in which her character is a witch I would think that she’s embraced the silliness of it and is enjoying herself. As for death threats, well, she’s a rock star. She’s always going to get death threats even without the witch bs. As for witches being executed during the infamous witch trials across America and Europe, that’s over and done. That was a very long time ago. If you think she doesn’t like being known as a witch you’re welcome to believe that. I just think that after portraying a witch in a tv show and doing the music for a movie about witches she’s appreciating the humor of the situation and getting paid in the process. Blessed be.

@@kellifranklin9872 again, I think its unfair to label anyone anything they are not. Especially if they've professed that they are not for 40+ years. Most celebrities will take a high paying, high profile job. It doesn't mean the role they play is who they are. It's not about being right, it's about being kind and not spreading rumors. So many people get put into harms way everyday based on a lie or a rumor. The law of cause and effect are always in play, and we eventually get our chance to see why certain actions or non actions are important. To learn the lesson. Peace and blessings 🙏

Hi Shawn and Mel, love this song! Stevie looks so young and beautiful in this video. What a powerful voice she has. I think some of her best work was done during her solo career in the 80's and 90's. Her voice is so powerful but then can be so warm and pure. She also has a reputation for helping other young performers and giving them encouragement which I think is really cool. Great pick!

This was my first favorite song when I was a lad. My sister listened to oldies and I did not, in fact, want to sit under the apple tree, while my brother's liked heavy metal which likewise did not float my boat. I thought maybe I just did not like modern music and then I heard this song. I saved my allowance and did odd jobs to buy a radio and play it quietly 24/7 to wait for this song to come on and then turn it up loud. No one looked as I walked by, just an invitation would have been just fine.

Listen, growing up I was obsessed with Stevie Nicks. I freaking loved her. I wanted to be her, there was something about her that was so mesmerizing. She’s a bad ass. I was born January 1970 and my mother was a huge Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fan, so we listened to them a lot at home. She even played the guitar to their music. I was obsessed with Stevie Nicks. I thought she was just mesmerizing and amazing until this day. I still freaking love her.

This song was released when MTV was still very young and many of the musical videos back then were somewhat experimental as in the case with this video. Adding the dancers to the video was to add flair to the visuals but seems so not Stevie Nicks whose style onstage was that of a female pop/rock singer who is too hip for the 80's dancers of the day. The song definitely is good and helped Nicks' solo career.
