She wrote this song after hearing Prince - Little Red Corvette on the radio. When she was recording it she called Prince, he popped into the studio and recorded the keyboard parts to this song. Uncredited. They stayed friends till the end.

That's right...as she recalled in an interview I saw...Prince walked into the studio, laid down the opening 16 notes on the keyboard/synth (can't remember which), then turned around and walked out of the studio without saying a word...

Buckingham/Nicks***thevdebut album of Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. I think still holds up today as an impressive/expressive work...remember she was just out of high school and he was only a couple of years older. Listening to tat album you will recognize that they were (being 2/3 of the song writing talent), the sound of that iteration of Fleetwood Mac.

It was a generation of some incredible music, and I know I was blessed to experience so much of it as it came out. You might not have grown up back then, but you can sure binge the hell out of its music. Indulge yourself, my friend!

Stevie dropping those big notes at the end of the song is just perfect. Most anything off her debut solo album is great, including the title track, “Bella Donna” and “Outside the Rain.” Her duet with Tom Petty “Stop Draggin My Heart Around” was amazing, but I’ve always had a soft spot for their lesser known duet, “Insider” (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmjFm4uNr9Kma6s) - really lovely harmonies from two of rock’s most iconic voices. She and Petty had an enduring friendship until his death in 2017. Her duet with Don Henley on the song she wrote for Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Leather and Lace, is also beautiful. If you’re looking back to her catalog with the Mac, it’s worth checking out the live performance of “Sisters of the Moon” at the Forum in LA from the ‘82 Mirage tour. ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmLOd2h-qLqqbpY - song starts around the 2 minute mark). Like a lot of her songs with the Mac, the live performance is quite different than the album cut. Very dramatic

"What can she not do?" is the question but such a perfect response. Such an expansive discography. She's a storyteller and a poet like no other. Oh, by the way: your comment about wishing you grew up in a different time...I turned 6 in 1970. I didn't think the time was sooo great...but the music was. It's like high school history and the rationale for studying it. In order to learn about the future, you must know the past. Be young, enjoy the present, look forward to the future and never stop listening to music, especially rock music!

Hi Wil. I like your videos a lot. I was privileged to grow up in the 70s and 80s. I'm glad to hear how much you enjoy music from that era. No auto-tuned, computer generated music back then. Just REAL talent. From the GOATs, Led Zeppelin, to Stevie Nicks, it was a treasure trove of music "back in the day". Maybe you'd like to check out some R&B rock? Hard R&B rock! Give George Thorogood a listen. He's an almost forgotten gem of the 70s. "Who Do You Love", "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone" are some really good rockin' R&B. Check him out. I think you'll enjoy. Keep the videos coming. I'm gonna keep watching. Keep up the good work young man 👍🙂

Hun,..hah,.....HAH!, you didn't at first know she was with Fleetwood Mac?, ohh darlin, ohhh my dear young person,..and you don't know the half of it, haven't even touched on all the movie soundtracks even, that she's been on let alone her solo career, she's on Streets of Fire, "Sorcerer(Stevie wrote the song) ", Heavy Metal, "Blue Lamp"(I so was crazy about this song, and its crazy on the soundtrack she's 3 songs down from Black Sabbath!), Against All Odds, "Violet and Blue"(another great soundtrack, she's in good company with Phil Collins!, and this song is SO BADASS!), now that's just the movies, oh goodness, her solo album work, albums "Bella Donna (song with her and Tom Petty "Stop Dragging My Heart"), "Other Side of The Mirror"(all songs great, but "Long Way to Go", badass),"Rock a Little", and album "The Wild Heart"(with Stand Back on it, and yet another song with Tom Petty "I Will Run To You, an absolute jewel, the harmony and synchronization he and Stevie had, they worked so well together) Do keep going, check out what I've mentioned, you won't be disappointed, I'd be here all day suggesting all the songs by her you should give a listen, so just start with what you see above, huh that should keep you down the SN rabbit hole for few millinia,..enjoy, Godspeed ,Peace ✌

Do to the fact that there are hardly any REAL Studio's and Big record labels signing band and developing them .You will never ever get back the bands of the 70's and 80's. They would sign a band for multiple album deals.Give the Months and Months of studio time with seasoned engineers and producers to come out with an album. The decline started from ONE company. Napster then all the P2P sites that came after it.Then Streaming really screwed the artist,You used to make a big chunk of your money from album /CD sales . Not today. You get shit for streamed songs. You need to tour your ass of and sell TONS of Merch to make any kind of a living.
