I hope you all enjoy watching it! Although the kitchen is far from perfect - ours is a rental one so there are a lot of things that we are not allowed to change, but we're happy with what we have achieved, especially considering the low budget of 400 Euros! She is a an artist, a gifted painter and designer, too. She is not only an architect for interior, she has a feeling for space and light and how to use it for focal points in different levels, like a brilliant photographer she creates beautiful pictures. She asks how to draw a perspective and does it perfectly! I love the color scheme with light green-gray, wood, black, white, and a red Kitchen Aid. The best scene is breakfast with her daughter. In Denmark they call it "hyggelig", in Germany "gemütlich". Everything is very practical and well thought, just by a housewife. Any stranger would find their way around the pantry to cook. Does she know that the so-called Frankfurt kitchen was developed by a woman, an architect? And her kitchen has the more difficult square floor plan! I had similar colors in a kitchen made by Italian carpenters in 1990ties for my children. Now they are adult and I move, change the flat ... and I miss my kitchen, it was easier to clean. I am sending her video to my son who is renovating his kitchen together with his bride. If I were her husband, I would give her a larger diamond ring than the one she wears at work.

You are one very handy lady! Here in Australia you can't do anything like this in a rental property. Your reorganisation of the pantry is fabulous! And now the whole kitchen looks excellent. Your colour scheme is lovely. Your landlord is very lucky to have a tenant who is looking after their property so well. I'm sure cooking and cleaning will be much easier and happier from now on, and you have the extra pleasure of knowing it was your concept and your hard work which makes it so wonderful! 😊💜
@miyounova4 жыл бұрын
If I'm not mistaken, most apartments in Germany are empty, so you bring in your own kitchen. The plumbing and electricity is already in of course, so you can't change the lay out really, but you bring in your own cabinets, sinks, etc.
@tosca...4 жыл бұрын
@@miyounova Gosh. That's quite an added cost to renting. I wish I could do that in my rental house. The kitchen is 1970s orange. It's not pretty despite my own handy woman efforts. It has taken me six months to get them to replace the rusty stove because we can't do those things ourselves. I have a big spacious garden though, but I'm not allowed to do much. I got permission to plant a mini bird sanctuary around the logs of a fallen gum tree. Because we lost so many birds, animals and habitat after our summer wildfires - an estimated 3 billion lost 😢 - I have planted lots of native flowering ground covers and small flowering bushes for the little birds like finches, robins and fairy wrens, honeyeaters, willy wagtails and small parrots like crimson rosellas, king parrots etc and I've planted clematis, azaleas and mini climbing roses for the bees. Otherwise I have my potted garden which I carry around like a turtle 🐢 It's different everywhere I suppose, but it's one way to feel very much at home 🙂
@miyounova4 жыл бұрын
@@tosca... well, not really no. It's taken into consideration in the renting price, and if you didn't have to bring those in, rent would probably be higher (keeping in mind some cities are quite pricey already). Just like a fully furnished place will be more expensive, all variables being the same. In NZ, like in many places, the kitchen is already there, but it is still very expensive and things like council rates are paid by the owners but obviously included in the rent. Or if you have internet included, like I do at the moment, same thing, you pay for it, but you don't know it cause rent is one lump sum. So if my landlords weren't providing it, we would pay less rent. Given that it's a cultural thing, it's just taken into consideration in budgets and prices. It would be a pain for people moving in non-furnished flats for short periods, but so be would moving temporarily into an unfurnished place.
@tosca...4 жыл бұрын
@@miyounova Yes, as you say, cultural differences accounts for a lot. Where I live (Sydney, Australia) we have the dubious pleasure of being one of the most expensive cities in the world for real estate (buying and renting, although I think we've slipped down from top 3 in recent years). I think I've seen American renters expect a washing machine, dryer and refrigerator. In Australia we have our own unless it's a very short term rental apartment. And there are some places in Europe where the renter supplies light fittings (which can be very expensive items in Australia and are included here). It must be a bit annoying to have to put a kitchen in before moving in. But, as you say, I suppose every place has its systems and people adjust :)

I was barely paying attention, occasionally glancing at this video on my TV while reading until around the 3:00 mark when I had to stop everything and start the video over from the start. Then I quickly hit the like and subscribe and noticed the view count. Fully deserved. Best DIY to date and great choice of music and taste in decor.
