You see, what people don't understand is that shadowblade is essentially better then bkb in Herald as it is near invulnerable as soon as you press it against 95% of your opponents. Unironically good on every hero.

As the designated ward and dust carrier in any game i play, semi-carry or support, i agree... i've seen many games vs heroes with INNATE invis, and i'm the only one carrying dust and wards.

even in pro games i think, daedalus just doesnt give as much as a silver edge, daedalus = damage/crit (pretty meh) silver edge = movement speed, mobility, invisibility, damage/crit, positioning (plus easier build up)

In spite of playing dota for two decades, I spent a long couple years in the herald trenches somehow. I'm decent mechanics wise, and have accumulated a lot of game knowledge, yet couldnt climb out for the longest time. A huge part was my own doing, because i couldn't help but lose mind in every other game. Jenkins herald videos are a small glimpse into that madness. Every single game is like this, punctuated by the very rare game with flawless team execution where everyone understand and even excels at their role, the euphoria of which is almost indescribable. It is short lived though. The next game is almost always a rolling dumpster fire just like something jenkins would feature. It becomes a negative feedback loop that's very difficult to break.

I really want to understand how herald logic works. They literally kill everybody in the enemy team. They know that neither of them has buyback. They still don’t push to end the game. My expectation was at any rank, if a team wipe happens at minute 60, it should be over in a few seconds.

I have been a Herald, Crusader now. Most heralds are too focused on their goals that they don't let the useless things like winning a game be come in between achieving the same goal. If a tidehunter has decided that he wants refresher orb, and all 5 enemies are dead. He would still go jungle and get the refresher. Even supports are the same.
