If I was deceived, I'd hear corrections when I make specific criticisms of believers' arguments. Yet strangely I never hear that. 1. Creation demands a creator is illogical because (A) if everything needs a cause an uncaused god is impossible, but (B) if not everything needs a cause (which must be your answer if you want to conclude with an uncaused god) then _not everything has a creator._ So the universe (or something before it) might be uncaused. No god needed. 2. The 'life' argument is bad for the same reason that (A) if it's a hard rule it invalidates an uncaused living god, but (B) if it's not a hard rule, then the argument disappears entirely -- it has no reason for insisting a god is needed. 3. With 'laws' is a new mistake called equivocation, where the meanings of words are deliberately confused. In this case what we mean by natural law is "this just the way reality seems to consistently work", and yet that's wrongly being compared to human laws which do in fact require a human lawgiver as the argument states. Nothing indicates the universe's laws are like that, and so it's equivocation. 4. The 'design' argument repeats the first arguments' mistake, while also being an absolutely ridiculous claim -- we know life can live in less than 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000003% of our universe. That's an estimate Earth's volume relative to the size of the universe. Well we can't live _inside Earth's volume,_ so the actual number is far smaller than that. And believers are going to call this universe designed for life!? Seriously? Life can barely live in this universe! 5. What 'promises'? The fact that the very first verse quoted by this video is Ezekiel 26, *a prophecy Tyre would be permanently destroyed,* when Tyre is a modern city (ie _not permanently destroyed!_ ) in Lebanon genuinely makes me wonder if this entire video is a joke. That's the very last chapter of the Bible any thinking Christian would bring up as evidence of prophecy. 6. What 'answered prayer'? We've studied prayer, like the largest-ever study the 2006 STEP Project. We know it doesn't work. Meanwhile we know confirmation bias is real (it works to fool us) and prayer is clearly designed to exploit that. 7. What 'way of life'? By nearly all metrics, Christians aren't new creations -- they aren't noticeably better than others. A good video on it is "are Christians really new creations?" by Mindshift; he covers a lot of the hard stats.

Proof #1 presumes the universe was created, which Steven Hawking himself believed to be false, as he thought the universe had no beginning. Even if you presume the universe occurred to random chance, then the same could be applied to god. If God is infinite, why can't the universe be? and what are the chances of him just appearing to random chance if not? This argument is not effective at proving god's existence.

One proof of God's existence for me is the reproductive system of a male specie, with a female specie. It's not only the human specie, but to others as well (dogs, cows, cats, monkeys, elephants, etc). If this world was created by chance, i.e. by accident, reproductive system could only happen to maybe 2 to 10 species, not thousands! I just find that amazing!

Atheist and former 26 year Pentecostal here.... 1. The universe isnt creation, creation isnt the only option. As understood by science, saying that the universe is creation implies intelligent design by default, which means that the evolutionary science points away from intelligent design. Intelligent design isnt a scientific study, it has no models, it has no factors or variables, it has no criteria, or anything to measure it against in order to make it a justified scientific study/theory. Intelligent design is completely dependent on subjective interpretation of half baked information/facts and belief in god. 1. Odds of the universe coming into existence by chance alone.... First thing first is that nothing is proposed to be by "chance". No one is making the "chance" argument, only theists who are making that claim. Second, apologists incorrectly misrepresent Roger Penrose's response/calculation. The calculation of 1 in 10 to the power of 10^123 is a representation of "IF" the universe was recreated without a creator in a low-entropy state. There are several problems with this....One of the problems is in our perception in that what is proposed to us that the universe STILL does exist in a high entropy state through 99 percent of its existence and that we are only looking at the 1 percent (where we currently are) where we exist in a low entropy state. So if 99 percent of the universe exists in a disordered state while only 1 percent of it exists in an ordered state, then that does not point to an intelligent creator..... it points away from one. The calculation of 1 in 10 (10^123) is not about random chance or odds beyond theoretical speculation rather than an actual calculation Another issue regarding Fine tunning is that our universe cannot be fine tuned if Heaven exists as Heaven would be what is fine tunned which then would make our universe poorly tuned as Heaven is more tunned for life/existence/physics than our universe is. Atheist and non apologists make the claim that the universe is "poorly tuned" for life. 2. Life demands a life giver..... No it does not. Life does not have to come from inorganic compound for it require a life giver. Take Bacteria for example, it is the building block for all DNA yet it can come into existence without a direct cause in that it only needs 4 conditions to spring up out of nowhere, this does not violate the Laws of biogenesis. 3. The universe demands a Law giver....Nope, this is a perception error because anything that follows a "law" of something is just a reaction from a previous action, not like the laws we make for ourselves (cause and effect). Most of the laws of our universe have no purpose or meaning to life or existence for that matter. For more on this look at my response to number 4. 4. The universe demands a designer.... Again, no it does not. The reason the vast majority of evolutionist scientists deny intelligent design is because the lack of design features that are missing from evolution/DNA. If things were designed then we would expect to have complexity through refined simplicity (intelligent design) yet that is not what we have...instead we have simplicity through unrefined complexity (unintelligent design). Simplicity through unrefined complexity can still be ordered but messy which is exactly what scientist observe in nearly every aspect of evolution/and or DNA which is why scientist reject intelligent design. Apologist however, ignore these aspects and only focus on it being "complex and ordered" yet fail to realize the nature of its order and complexity rule out an intelligent designer rather than point to one. 5. Prophecy.... this one is just nonsense as even many theistic scholars object to the bible's many vague prophecies as being too vague to as to be interpreted in any way. Also many of the prophecies in the book of Daniel for example are written after most of them already happened and the ones it writes about before they happen didnt happen such as that the Messiah would come before the fall of the Greek empire... that didnt happen. There are many more but prophecies in the bible are vague and not reliable. 6. Subjective 7. Subjective This question I will ask proves the irrationality of theism and I would like the creators of this video (or any theist here) to answer this question... Question- Where in reality is theism naturally represented to "us" WITHOUT mediators or intermediaries?...meaning that since natural knowledge of things do not require mediators or intermediaries to be known then theistic knowledge is then unnatural to us making it irrational since its cannot be naturally known independent of mediators or intermediaries.

The LORD (YHWH, Eternal) looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3. This is only one example of the sadness of God's people (David king of Israel, and not only the Jews) lamenting that people believe He doesn't exist. It really saddens me too

@@sandramayes Do you have any philosophical justification to the notion of Psalm 14? If not then your bible verse is not justified and therefore irrational to believe that Psalms 14 is correct. Statements need justification through philosophy, not scripture otherwise the Koran would be valid too if justification in philosophy is not required for rational belief....so... how can you justify Psalms 14 philosophically?... I dont think you can, which is the problem with the bible as a whole.

The fallacy of believers in a god who creates is based on their unproven assumption that ANYTHING in this universe is "created." Instead of simply admitting there is still much we don't know about the universe, including whether it was created , these believers fabricate a "god" to explain the unknown. Then these believers proclaim that to believe the story, one must have "faith." If one has no faith, one is doomed to a hell, a place also made up. Worse, these believers ATTEMPT TO PROVE USING SCIENCE that which you admit cannot be proven in a physical way. Best answer to our existence and the universe we inhabit - WE HUMANS DO NOT KNOW.
