When you add weight to your truck, then you can add air pressure. You will have to adjust your air pressure to when your unloaded vs loaded with your Enclosed trailer or camper.

You need to take a white piece of chalk and chalk a section Of the tire and drive about a 100 feet, stop check the section. Hey, if the. Sinner chalk is gone air down if the outer chalk edges are gone, air up. Bigger tires, more service area. You need less air pressure.

Same concept of sitting on a bicycle, 10 pounds of air will hold the bicycle up, but when you sit on it, it's flat, you have to add more air for more weight.

I enjoy your channel, love the look of your dually, however looks is what you have. Been trucking and in the tire business over 50 years. Part of your irregular tire wear comes from the fact that your tires are mounted on wheels that are narrower than the tire was designed to be mounted on. When you do this the tires are not able to make road contact properly. Usually a tire mounted on a wheel narrower than it was intended for “crowns out”

For the sake of ‘looks’ it seems like a lot of unnecessary concessions to deal with on a brand new truck….. These are designed & engineered for real life right from factory. That said, good truck reviews. Ordered my 6th Dmax last week. Love them.

I was thinking the same thing. Beautiful truck but a lot dicking around just to run a bigger tire. I have a ‘22 dmax swapped the stock tires for KO2’s of the factory size and the truck is mint the way it is…

Speedometers are not off by a fixed mph. They are off by a percentage of speed.

Yep,…most people don’t know that. It’s always relative. If your speedometer says 5 mph but your true speed is 10 mph,….then your true speed is 50 mph when your speedometer says 25 mph. It’s all math, in regards to fractions that we had to learn when we were in school.

Those tires were designed to be mounted on eight to ten inch wheels for maximum capability , not on six inch wide dually wheels . When you finally tow that trailer on a several hundred mile trip with the tires aired back up to 65 psi you will see how badly you've worn down the centers of the tread . You also may find that the trailer acts like a tail wagging the dog at highway speeds due to the reduced contact patch .

JB, Get specific "Dually Valve Stems" made specifically for the inner wheels so they are accessible normally. You can get them at any good truck shop or up fitter. We put high grade stems on our dually made for the Ford rims, both front and the dual rear rims. Great videos. Cheers.

SRW or DRW?I SRW have to run higher psi. My 21 3500 runs at 80 psi in rear tires & 65 in front

The rub on the swaybar and frame are enough for me to change the tires out. It was a big mistake putting those tires on.

It would be nice if the tire manufacturers offered a 11.5 wide for duallys. They do in the 35” sizes and I guess that’s what most people go with.

Switch to AT tires (All Terrains) especially if you’re going to be towing

For the outer I have found that the best option is the attachment that looks like a ball and it goes on the valve from the side.

I don’t think the dealer can recalibrate the speedometer. I’m pretty sure they can only adjust it to factory tire sizes. Something else to keep in mind is your odometer will be off too. So if the truck thinks you’re going 63 miles an hour, then it will clock 63 miles in an hour where in reality you went more like 69/70 miles in an hour.

They should be just fine at 60-65 psi when under load. Should be enough to compress the tires. Load as in 2,000lbs or more haha

Whenever you do those tests,…make sure to use a gps to do all of your calculations. If not, you’ll record false numbers.

Put the truck in tow/haul mode so that it starts in first gear instead of second. That will give you more out of the hole and let the turbo spool up quicker.

They only recommend that level while towing , everyday pressure should be 60

at 60 psi you will have 3664 lbs of capacity when cold per tire

best is to get scaled and adjust tire presure example 1psi on that tire is 61.07 lbs per 1 psi

On a diesel, I always ran max pressure in the fronts, and then I’d set the rears to a certain amount that allowed “most” of the tread to run in contact with the road. It’s different for each tire’s specs. I’ve always gotten even wear out of my tires by doing it that way. I specify tire pressure settings when I get my vehicles serviced as well.

You ruined that truck for its intended purpose. It looks cool I suppose but it's not worth it if u plan tow. How noisy are the tires compared to stock? I'd like to see it after about 20K miles and see how many rock chips you have on the truck/trailer.
