Wow! Kyle goes all out, I've got the same car ready for paint that had the same body damage except for rust spots, and didn't take off nothing, but glazed and sanded and primed all the bad clear coat spots and fixed a lot of dings, but Kyle here is making me feel like I shortchanged myself, but I do live in an apartment and don't have no garage and can only work certain hours of the day and sundays, so I don't feel to bad for what I did accomplish.

Did you consider those new metal inserts from Saab. They are like 150 bucks. But it requires welding. I just had Maaco use them and respect my 2008 9-5 soortcombi

Kyle - if you are going to make a low cost repair without welding, please treat the rusted areas after sanding / grinding to neutralise the rust. Otherwise all your good work will be wasted as the rust will return within a matter of months. Otherwise keep up the great work :-)

Looking good! I'm dealing with too much rust for it to be a fiber-glass repairable thing, check it out on Instagram if you like, same name as on here 😁 #anothersaabstory Some posts from a 9-5 I repaired in the same spots too. Check out the trunk/floor for rust too, should be some posts from spring 2020 showing it on mine

Unbelievably scary that you are using fibreglass to repair structural body sections. Stoped watching at the first mention of fibre glass. Madness

Sometimes a man have to do what wallet allows you to do. Most of SAAB´s doglegs are NOT proper repaired. Not even here In Sweden. But some day the AERO whom survive will be worth a lot of money some day, but not yet.
