Wait, Jess can we have a separate playlist labelled for harvest videos with corresponding season instead of being mixed into the tour playlist? Harvest videos are a GOLD MINE when needing to quickly figure out harvest info for stuff i’ve never grown or seen ripened before. I love the idea of having another playlist to binge watch!!! Thank you for showing all this stuff cause your harvests are always before mine which is an excellent indicator of getting my garden timeline up to speed and situated for next year too! 🙌🏻👩🏻🌾❤️

Hey Jess, I would LOVE , LOVE, and LOVE if you started a COOK WITH ME segment on your channel when you get your kitchen finished. One thing that keeps a lot of people from growing their own food is not knowing what to do with it. I'm one of them. An example is spaghetti squash. I've heard its great but have no idea how to cook it or what to serve it with. To see you plant, grow, harvest, (store) and cook it would be amazing. The list of things is still extensive of what I don't know. But you cant find the answers in one single place. You have a way of explaining that doesn't make me feel stupid and I want that carried over to cooking. It really would be amazing.
@kittygreen56934 жыл бұрын
That would be a wonderful idea...I have the same issue.
@emilyjeanine11594 жыл бұрын
Spaghetti squash is super fun - I haven’t grown my own yet but when I get them from the store, just cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, spread a little olive oil inside, pop in the oven at 350 for 45 minutes. When it’s done put on a plate and fill with spaghetti sauce (homemade is best!) and serve! Take your fork and scrape the pulp of it, it becomes “noodles”! A favorite at our house 😁

Susie, I have a way to get rid of gophers! Find their hole. Fill a gallon plastic milk jug, with water, pour the water down the hole keeping mouth of jug tight to the hole. The gopher will come out so fast it will go right into the jug. You can relocate the bugger, or shake violently ending it's life, throw jug and critter in the trash. Have done this for over 50 years. Good luck!

you need to add a propane burner to your wish list. My dear husband bought me one with a large cast iron pot which I can use for making apple butter and stews, but the real reason I wanted it is to can outdoors. Canning outside means I won't heat the house up in July and August. I bet you would love it. Ours is a King Kooker 175. Highly recommend. Also, a fox will also smell faintly of skunk . I don't know if you have fox but most people don't know they smell like a skunk.

As long as you can regulate the temp, pressure canning should not be a problem, right? I don’t have small burners outsides (like a Coleman camping stove). Actually, I live in rural Florida and my house stove/oven is propane. We don’t have natural gas offered here.

@@jujube2407 my indoor range is propane and both it and the outside burner have similar temperature/flame controls. I have had no trouble regulating the temp/pressure. If anything I feel safer. If something did go wrong the sky would be the limit not the kitchen ceiling.
