I feel terrible for the animals. They don’t make it fast but instead slow and the animal is visibly in extreme distress and it’s going through a lot of pain. Sacrificing any living being out of tradition is a horrible thing but the way they do it makes it all the worse. I hate everything about this

Actually, dead bodies are generally not hazardous at all to living people (all over the world, not just in indonesia!), unless the person died from something like the black plague, where pathogens may still remain on the body. Depending on the environment, decay might set in, but it looks like the climate in Sulawesi encourages the bodies to dry out instead :)

I was crying, but she lived. And ran back to our house, and started clawing on the front door. I saw my cat die in front of me, and I held it as it died, I try to get it to a vet, but no one helped me, and she passed. I cried for a month. @Chinese Jesus well, to a person on the outside looking in that is probably how it appears. If there were no truth to it you would have not used that example. Nationality is a generalization. However, If you were to say that the west coast loves weed or the south loves Jesus it would be quite accurate - in general. But unless you live in the US how would you know the regional differences? It would be unlikely that you would know about the vast differences from City to city state to state or even neighborhood to neighborhood
