Not exactly a "how to" vid... Reality is that if you approach any commercial property owner to hold a C&C today (not 2008...), you will need liability insurance. That's a hurtle, and it puts you at the mercy of the one or two clowns that show up and do something stupid. You could be on the hook for some idiot's idiocy...

I grew up in Boston in the 90s and 00s. Can concur - car scene was absolutely horrible. There was a handful of interesting shows at Larz Andersen in the summer but that generally attracted cool cars from the entire New England area. Boston area itself is just not a good place to be a car enthusiast because most people treat their vehicles like throw away appliances which they sort of were considering the winters that killed cars fast. I still visit the area regularly - interesting cars are very rare on the street even today. It was only when I moved to SF Bay Area a decade ago that I finally understood what real car culture is. Waaaay more of all sorts of cool cars. No comparison when it comes to shows, they're simply in a different league. But I'm still glad old Bean Town's finally coming around.
