Never seen video like this before. Amazing! question… is the concept of health sprints a thing in gaming dev? Thanks for sharing all the metrics and details.

Health sprints are for going back and improving things without adding any new content or features. Generally sprints are focused on new content and features, but there are generally about two months out of each year we need to focus on health. For 2024 we spent a while after Quest Store launch on health. (2023 in specific had 9 or 10 months on the UE4 to UE5 upgrade and performance alone, but that's a once every 5+ years kind of thing)

I have some ideas for grenades and a gamemode if you would like to hear them.

Ok first for grenades a Molotov cocktail, c4, a landmine/bear trap, and a rocket one that flys up into the air locks onto an enemy gives them a warning and if they don’t move it will strike down on them but if they do it will miss. Second for game modes a dark game mode where people only have little glowing patches on their body and guns, and the guns would have a laser pointer coming off of it, sort of like laser tag.

Hii Pancake :) We are not using the (infamous) anti-piracy Denuvo tech (used in many AAA single player story games which suffer from extreme piracy). Piracy is not a real concern for multiplayer games such as VAIL. We are using the anti-cheat tech only to layer it in with our stuff for comp integrity and to prevent people from accidentally running maybe bad stuff in background. It will be non-intrusive and not hurt your frames. :D
