To be fair, most movies of ANY KIND have all sorts of "technical things that are wrong". It just has to be close enough for "suspension of disbelief". And there are plenty of nerd channels on KZbin that, while professing a great love for sci-fi, absolutely rips these TV shows and movies apart on their abuse of physics. If you want a fun KZbin series to watch, Kelsey of 74 Gear channel does a "A pilot reacts" to movies involving aircraft and flight. I really liked his dissection of Cast Away, since Kelsey is a 747 CARGO pilot. (One of the birds he flies is the big 747 Boeing uses to ship aircraft fuselages.)
