And the Maxima for Fsst 1 was Craig's daily that they used because they were working with a low budget and they were already renting Craig's Supra

So crazy, I met Craig at Hot Import Nights before “Fast and The Furious”. I was a Supra owner and he had his personal car there as show car, which was also a Supra. Who would have known the impact of the movie and having our car as the hero car. Pretty much changed the Supra’s visibility overnight. We all knew how overbuilt and easily tunable it was for the day, but no one outside the Supra community knew about it at all. Helped me sell the car for as much as I bought it when it was new. Only car I really regret selling.

The creek jump supposedly twisted the front clip or just messed up the unibody structure beyond repair thet they spent the rest of the shoot just scavenging parts from it to keep the others going. I have done the same thing with a rental when I ran over a raccoon the size of a medium dog. It total the car, frontend was gone. It would been at least $6k to fix it. Fixed everything with about $1k of parts and $200 of labor. Just to make look good. Then after I fixed enough just to make look like nothing happen on the surface, some lady rear-ended me with her tank GMC Jimmy. And totaled the car completely. 🤣 Wasted my money on nothing.
