I have a 2013 Boxster S and that Cayenne is very similar on the interior. So for the fog lights, you have turn the dial to headlights on, then pull out to turn on the fog lights. Makes it so you can't have the fog lights on without the headlights. I think it's because fog lights without headlights is illegal in most states. Secondly, for the clock, go to the settings for the clock and toggle off DST. You have to do this twice a year (on in Spring and off in Fall) and that kinda sucks but at least you don't have to set the time. That's probably because DST is not standard everywhere in the world -- starts and stops different times for different places and some places like AZ and HI don't even observe DST.
@AZBEEMR3 жыл бұрын
NOT everywhere in AZ: the Navaho Nation Indian reservation observes DST. Interestingly the Hopi Indian reservation which is surrounded by the Navaho Nation does not. I think the Hopi’s just did it to spite the Navahoes. They were mutual enemies before the white men ever arrived with their clocks and calendars.

There is a cut out that prevents you putting them on until the main lights are on The rear hatch has a height level adjust so people vertically challenged like my wife! I have a well spec'ed 11 Cayenne Turbo that I bought in August 2019 with 80K miles. Original MSRP of 137K and I paid 27K. Even in today's market, that's about the price for them. From what I can see it's in about the same condition as this one. 30K + miles later and it's still awesome. I'm not nearly as competent with a wrench as JR but still was able to replace brakes, rear air shocks and the water pump with no problems. Other than those things, which weren't out of line expensive, difficult to do , nor unexpected for a 100k+, 10 + year old vehicle, it's been awesome. Its my daily and it really is a "sport" + "utility" vehicle. Its the best tow vehicle I've ever owned (1/2 ton pickups, 1 Expedition and 3 Suburbans). I pull a 5500lb boat all summer with it as well as anything else. Haters gonna hate but that's ok. It's the reason the resale is where it is. BTW - Turbos don't cost much more, generally have way more options and while they can be more expensive to maintain, for someone that can do their own work, they're a much better value than the base.

Spending $12-15k on a nice 7-9 year old Avalon that will rent for the same amount as his 2013 Dodge Dart which cost $5k and will be just as cheap to maintain/fix wouldn't make sense. Well JR just dated himself with "I was 13 when the Panamera came out". He's only 25 lol, thought dude was like 29 to 36ish. Also killer deal at $23k, especially for an SUV. Porsche depreciation is BRUTAL, similar year Lexus sedans are similar $$$$, and I'm talking lower line ES or IS, might get a GS. Also base model is HIGHLY under-rated in a lot of cars, pile on options you are sometimes forced into sport packages/and/or 20", 22" wheel options that ride like crap. Give me good old fat sidewalls in a 16, 17 or 18" wheel for an SUV.

My Cayenne and others I've heard of has a drive shaft mid-support bearing that will go out often. Other than that, great SUV.
