Since you provided some housebuilding tips, I'll provide a trick of my own. The foyer functions as an alternative square room, as it includes a 1x1 open square. You can still place 1x2 rooms against the square as they fill into the corners usually left empty by a 2x2, and an office can be placed against the square without leaving half of a wall open. The foyer also includes a door that can seperate the 1x1 square from a standard room, which helps the house actually feel like a house; I can have an actual door in front of spaces I wouldn't want a visitor wandering into. I also use multiple foyers to make straight hallways, placing the 1x1 rooms against one another with doors on both left and right. Figuring out the application of foyers has helped a lot to break away from standard house structures and patterns.

Yup, rest of the video was fantastic as well! The house remodeling section was absolutely lovely. Out of curiosity, what software did you use to make the animations? (Also, what's your current hyperfixation you mentioned if you don't mind me asking?) And no worries about the wait! If I'm being honest, I barely notice/care every time you go on hiatus since your old videos are so good. I actually kinda appreciate the random waits between videos! It's probably not great for the algorithm or anything, but it's kind of fun to have your videos randomly drop when I least expect it. :)

After some trial and error, I've found a slightly easier way to do the bee trick. Once you have the center of mass of the house and have it recalled, don't shoot as high as you can, put the bees so they hold the house as evenly as possible but wider for more stability. It only took me 3 attempts to do it this way after I was struggling with shooting them as high as possible. Another trick for doing this, once you have set it up and Granteson says it is unstable, look at the house and see how it is falling, adjust your bee positions accordingly and try again. I've gotten it down to the point where I can drop my house and set it back up in the air again in one or two attempts.

This is assuming that a unit is considered steady if its speed is under some tolerance value
@KlericYT5 ай бұрын
Unfortunately not. I believe the way it works is during the black screen, physics are turned on for a couple seconds, and he makes a judgement based on that, then resets the units back to how they were when you talked to him, and gives his assessment.

This is amazing! One of the clearest and easiest to follow tutorials I’ve seen, probably ever. If you had made this just 1 weeks ago earlier, I would have saved a lot of time making my Deep Space Nine floating house over at Hyrule Engineering. I thought that the unsteadiness issue was caused by not having enough hover stones, when it was really caused by the house swaying too much. I came up with this whole workaround of using less rockets than needed to get them out of the building zone, riding up the house, then adding more rockets so I could have more hover stones. If I had seen this I would have known to just center my handle better. 😅
