Thank you, that was the best and most comprehensive explanation of color seasons I've seen, with a really clear guide about how to find your own season. I've always struggled to figure out my own season due to having a mostly neutral skin tone and medium ashy brown hair with blue eyes, which is a fairly neutral and sometimes contradictory combination that doesn't seem to fit neatly into any of the seasons. It's a little unclear as well whether I'm bright or soft/muted, as I'm sort of in the middle on that feature. Because I end up middle of the road on so many things, I've always struggled with the binary aspect of color categorization. However, I have one non-ambiguous feature, and that's my dark value. And though my skin tone is neutral, with your guide I can see it's definitely a cool neutral. So this analysis makes it clear that I'm a dark winter, with elements of a soft summer. And that makes sense, given what colors I naturally gravitate towards. If I take dark winter colors but make them slightly more muted, that seems to yield the best results, since I'm not quite as high contrast in my features as most winter types.

This is very detailed analysis and it is good to know this stuff. But in the end I feel, whichever color you like and can carry off well will make you look the best. In my own case, I am a neutral leaning to warm toned skined person. My skin has yellow in it but I have both blue and yellow views in my hand looking in sunlight. Based on this, warm colors should go well with me, like yellow or ivory or orange. But my personal preference has always been cool colors, I always choose cool colors and I rarely wear colors like yellow. Even in makeup, I lean towards cool colors as warm color always seem like over the top to me. So somehow, I cannot fit myself into the color scheme rules and always choose colors like black, pure white, purple and do get compliments when I wear them. But more importantly, I feel good and I feel they are the right choice for me. In the end, I liked your analysis but unfortunately, I have never gone by the books when it comes to color, clothes and makeup and i wear with confidence whatever I like.
