Apologies for the delay in this week's 'Tony Tuesday.' Technical issues with KZbin processing, caused by a corrupted file, were resolved by the GOAT, Charlie. Sorry for being a day late. Stay beautiful, Redox!

“I’m the mothafuckin fuckin one who calls the shots” the most memorable line for me in this whole episode because of Gandolfini’s delivery on it lmao

Janice is older than Tony, but a big reason why Richie is like that is because he wasnt around to see the changes that were made to their culture. They have to be a little less wild and they have to think more. In Richie's head, they can all still just split heads open in the street and people wont tell the police
@dd-lv6ee Жыл бұрын
Ritchie is definitely the type of antagonist/conflict you would expect a show about mobsters would have than someone like Livia. Great introduction for sure.

"what the fuck's on her plate" Italians have a habit of putting extra slices of different coldcuts and cheeses in their dish with their sandwhich. I used to fill my dish with tons of extra salami and gabagool and then dipp it in mayo.

Davi, I feel you with Janice! Just hate her, but also love to hate her, and she’s so outrageous it’s hilarious. She learned a lot from her mother: narcissist, scheming, manipulative, gaslighter. Both are women trying to exercise power & secure their own positions in a highly patriarchal system- the mob. But she & Livia are almost opposite energy forces -Livia cold & dark & rejecting, operating almost invisibly; whereas Janice is hot & colorful & grasping, spinning out dramatically.

Disability check from State of Washington. It was paid to "Parvati Wasach," and addressed "C/O Liva Soprano." Janice changed her legal name to Parvati Wasach and the mail was forward-addressed from WA "care of"… she was not taking her mom's disability, her mom was not on any disability.
@samus5094 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I think that was there to show that Janice gets money by faking some disability. She is no better than her brother, really.

Melfi's therapist is played by director Peter Bogdanovich; he interviewed Chase after season 1 came out (the interview is on youtube, it's probably from some DVD extra material).

I believe Richie is about 15 years older than Tony (Tony is early 40s, Richie is mid 50s). Probably the reason why he has such a chip on his shoulder, with someone he once saw as a kid being in the position he feels he's entitled to. You can see the resentment when he repeatedly still refers to Tony as a "kid", not taking him seriously as a leader and disrespecting him.
@Loked420 Жыл бұрын
One of the things you'll notice throughout the series is just how good the chemistry is between Janice and Tony. They play off each other so well, it's no surprise that they worked together in the past before this and were close friends.

Good comment about the mirrors in Season 3 Ep. 2. There's an episode later this season that basically adds a new element to the show (trying to be vague here), so the mirror comment will probably make more sense after watching that episode.
@nathanielr.91218 ай бұрын
Wuts the episode this season that adds a new element?
@ryanoneill31928 ай бұрын
@@nathanielr.9121 From Where to Eternity. Obviously, it's a relatively small part of the show, but after trying their hand at magical realism in that one and playing with the supernatural, we do get glimpses of that stuff throughout the rest of the show (in 'Proshai Livushka', 'Calling All Cars', 'The Ride', plus other stuff throughout Season 6). Don't recall any of that prior to FWTE, and the dream sequences are really expanded upon with Funhouse, which leads to really dynamic material within that realm later on.

@@nathanielr.9121 Ah shit, sorry I referenced any future episodes lol. Doesn't really spoil any plot details anyway. I was being vague here because this one involved Chris being shot, so didn't want to hint at anything. If you haven't started S3 yet, remember to look out for Tony opening a mirror door in episode 2 (it's easy to miss). I think Furio and Paulie are beside him in the scene.
