When you spend 20 years being a one take live tv personality you forget two things. Number one: How insanely talented you have to be to do that. Number two: That almost nobody can do it that well. Which is why I think your videos stand out. I will say every reporter/ talent I worked with would go "I don't have a TV voice". Then as soon as i cued them, THE TV VOICE ARRIVED. You have it too, its not bad but I can hear it come in at times. Its good dont change on me brodie! lol.

Brodie, I commend you on your commitment to posting a video every day for as long as you have, and also for making it purposeful (not filler). I once hosted an online blog, and know how sometimes motivation and inspiration is high, but other times it’s hard to find. For you to do this, enthusiastically, and always on camera (not hiding behind a keyboard) is quite a feat.

Finally, I've been waiting for a video like this one. A contact of mine describes the many sins of KZbin since cancerous Google bought it! 1. Have to drag videos up and down when editing a playlist rather than typing in a number to move it around. 2. Can't program when to start a video (example: start time is 4:00) and when to end it (example: end time is 19:00 minutes of a 30 minute video). 3. Making playlist description typing total hell now (and it's gotten worst with only 26 characters showing up on screen at a time) AND removing the ability to create paragraphs! 4. Removing the "set thumbnail" of video for the playlist option meaning you are stuck with the first video in the playlists thumbnail now! 5. Stupid war on ad-blockers instead of fixing the REAL problems. 6. Sidebar of many videos to the side of the comment boards to the point it becomes distracting AND hard to resist clicking on a eye catching video. Just as bad as the DailyMail! 7. Removing the ability to see what video got removed (before, it still showed the name of the removed video before changing it to either deleted or private video). 8. Can't edit in a small description of a video in your playlist anymore. 9. And the most cancerous thing of all, KZbin's FILTERS that NEVER specifies what needs to be changed! It just auto deletes the entire message that you just wasted many minutes you typed! When the XXX website, XNXX notifies what needs to be changed in a message, there is a problem. I'm sick and tired of wasting many hours of my life trying to figure out what needs to be changed myself! 10. Especially when friendly messages like this one: "That's a nice hat." get deleted for no reason! In fact, doing a test the other day, it takes 24 HOURS before a message starts showing up again!

Maybe do a video on athletes and social media, Lionel Messi is the most followed athlete, and its also interesting how little NFL players are followed verse Soccer and NBA worldwide, yet the NFL is sooooo popular in USA, but not so outside it,

It's a great channel, Brodie. Try not to stress about the small stuff. I've learned that it's the creator and a little of the content. Some guys can lay in a hammock all day and toast a drink every 10 minutes and still keep the retention. I know a guy who still shoots on his smartphone and continues to grow. He's well over 1/2 mill now. His editing isn't top notch, but he's a very likable guy.

Thank you Brodie for this! My son will be attending college in Fall of 2025 and majoring in media studies with a focus on sports media. He’s already been accepted to Penn State, Seton Hall and other schools that have sports media programs. He’s waiting for a decision on Syracuse Robert Newhouse school of communications. Your outstanding videos are a source of information and inspiration for him. Thank you for efforts and they are much appreciated. 👍

Yes! This video was great! Totally feel the pain of those things - especially the rambling (I do it in work emails myself!)… the desire to explain everything, fill in the details, hit the counterpoints, etc. I love your videos, but if there is one piece of constructive criticism to work on for 2025 (IMO) it’s this one. Thanks again Brodie, and good luck!

Bro - you can ramble all you want. To me it adds value. People who get bored will move on after 5-7 minutes regardless. The people who want the whole thing will stick around. It’s like the newer baseball extra innings rules that I’ll never support. If people want to check out after 9 innings, go for it. Leave the extra innings stuff for the true fanatics. As for the “Other Stuff”, don’t forget the Hair! 🤘

@BrodieBrazil the Flames local broadcasters in the 80s and 90s were pure homers. They even used the "Dynasty" word in 89. "How does a Flames fan spell dynasty? O - N - E "

I have been thinking about making some of my own videos and this particular episode certainly served as a wake-up call. @BrodieBrazil, I know you are a broadcast professional and anytime you get a professional with a decent amount of experience behind them performing their craft - whatever that craft might be - it should look easy and you do make it look easy so kudos there. The other thing that you didn’t touch on for people like me who are thinking of making their own videos, cost is another thing. I’m not in broadcasting but I am in tech and the stuff you use to make your own studio (presumably at home) is not cheap - not if you want to do it right. And then there are all of the likes, subscribes, notifications, etc that you have to keep reminding people of to grow your channel and audience. It never ends.

Colin Cowherd wishes he had your skills on his ugly set of a podcast. Be true to thine own self and worry not about perceived targets based on YT stats changing your flow or personal philosophy. 1099 life aint easy on the nerves & its easy to get caught up in ones employers ‘rules’ to squeeze margins for extra (minimum) gains but it does maximize the the satisfaction of ones self standing.
