Loved the tour - I don't know why ppl are complaining about it. This is an RV - that is basically one space, one room - tours are "tours" when it comes to compact spaces. Congratulations on your new home, and we’re so happy your mom is doing better. We have the same style of rig although ours is Winnebago 25G. We solved almost all of the wind push with a Hellwig Sway Bar and Sumo Springs. Sway bar helps with the push 90% better. Sumo’s help with the side to side rock or sway 80% better. Used to white nuckel, now just annoyed. Keep up all the great work and enjoy your wonderful life. A sailing mag I used to read before our transition to road cruising had a saying “Attitude is the difference between Adventure and Ordeal “. Love the positive attitude. Stay safe.

Congratulations on your new rig! I’ve only been living on the road full-time since December 20. In that time, I can’t believe how many people Have felt free to tell me what I did wrong in purchasing my rig. It’s all such a personal choice! I bought a 2012 keystone hornet hideout. It was a nine person bunkhouse. I took out everything except for the kitchen and bathroom. I did replace the toilet with the composting toilet eventually. I didn’t need beds that slept nine, but I did need a comfortable house that went where I went. I have a beautiful bedroom, a table and chairs, a very comfortable chair and ottoman, and the laundry room/storage room. All of that is in 28 feet! So many people have told me that I will downsize and downsize till I get into a little minivan. I would like something a little easier to go off road in at times. However, it’s not likely that I will give up my paid for beautiful home on wheels just because of other peoples opinions. There is no one right way to do this lifestyle! That’s the glory of it! Enjoy your new home!

As others have said, I would have liked to have seen more of the rig itself - including the overall kitchen area, the bathroom, and the exterior. That said, it looks like a beautiful vehicle, and like it has a ton of storage, especially if the door we saw is actually a closet. The woodwork is really gorgeous, and I love what you've done with the bed. It looks a lot bigger than I thought a 24' rig would look.

beautiful new home! Thank you for sharing with us. I am motivated by your videos. I spent a few hours yesterday pulling the seats out of my new shuttle bus :) Am excited to camp in it with girlfriends and my kiddos (who are older.) I have heard over and over that it takes a while before you really know what you want in the rig. So I've made a decision to be VERY basic for at least the first summer. I do have some solar panels which I will keep portable and am working on getting the rest of a solar system together. My heater arrived today (Wave 6). A few other creature comforts are purchased, but for the most part I plan to stick some chairs and a bed inside and take a weekend trip. Then I"ll make adjustments as I go. Watching your videos has saved me so much time and money, and they make me smile knowing I am starting :) Happy trails to you!

Nice rig! Glad you got what works for you. After trial and error that comes with living fulltime in an RV it's much easier to change your RV versus a house. Over time you may decide to change your RV again and there is nothing wrong with that. Personally I live fulltime in a 2018 Lance truck camper with 2018 Ram dully truck and love it. Fully equipped and comfortable living. True four seasons camper with heated tanks. It went through the Winter in North East PA where temperatures were very low. Nothing frozen! I like the fact I can drop my camper and use my truck separately. Tow my cargo trailer with motorcycle. Very versatile. I have no regrets switching to RV living. Simple life!

Oh, how do you have your fairy lights set up to work on solar? Thanks!
@richardjones9905 жыл бұрын
A solar charger is part of the fairy light system. I used a set of these under my travel trailer to keep mice away. Just set the small charger up so the sun hits it. Worked like a charm.
@cashonly61175 жыл бұрын
Like Richard said, the string of lights come with a small charger that is also attached to the end of the string. I have them all over my yard. You can just run the lights around a room and put the small post panel up in a window or just run it outside a window. These lights are the best ever and fairly cheap. You can especially find them all over ebay/amazon now that summer is coming up. You could also buy like 4 or 5 of the garden solar lights, put a piece of foam in a planter pot, set the pot outside in the day and have a free lamp at night. :)
@sohappytosew10825 жыл бұрын
Richard Jones, how do you set up the solar to work inside the RV? Outside is easy, I get that one, but how to make it work with indoor lighting is my question. Thanks!
@cashonly61175 жыл бұрын
@@sohappytosew1082 That's what we are saying, at the end of the string of lights is a small solar panel which you would just open a window and let the panel hang outside, or put it in a window, whatever sunny area you can reach. This is what you have to be mindful of when stringing the lights up. The panel that is attached to the end of the strand is usually about the size of your hand. The panel usually has a few different modes of lighting, when you push the button. You probably already know about how long the lights stay charged up. So that's all it is, just run that small panel out through a window. The line on it is really small enough to be able to close a window on it, if you are worried about leaving a window open.
@sohappytosew10825 жыл бұрын
Cash Only , thanks! Yeah, I can’t leave windows open as I travel with kitties. But I might be able to let the charger dangle outside the window when stationary, figure out some way to attach it to the the window to catch the sun. Didn’t know if was missing some other cool trick. 😎

How long did you research for another RV & what were your top RV considerations before deciding on the Tiffin?

I'd recommend buying the best quality rig you can find, and I'd recommend a used over new because the 'bugs' should be worked out. and you save a ton on depreciation over New.
