Here’s What Its Like Driving The 2024 Ford Mustang GT | No Performance Pack or Magneride

In this video I drive the new 2024 Ford Mustang GT Premium without the performance pack or Magneride. The Mustang GT I’m driving is equipped with the active exhaust and 10 speed automatic transmission. Its a simply spec’d car because some out there may not be interested in the performance package or Magneride, so is it sporty enough on the base suspension?
The 7th generation of the Ford Mustang builds on an already strong foundation from the 6th generation. Tweaking the exterior design along with the wonderful coyote V8, the new Mustang GT makes small improvements in its driving dynamics. The interior sees a major overhaul and loses some of its tradition but gains a lot of technology and a modern, simplified look.
But with all of these changes, does the 7th generation Ford Mustang still remain a Mustang. Watch the video to find out

I have a Base 2017 with the cloth seats and I love them.. They feel so soft and comfortable.. A buddy of mine got into the passenger side and the first thing he said was my God these seats feel great.. And I feel the same way.. They are soft yet hold you in place.. I am sure the heated and cooled leather is nicer to have but I didn't buy my car for seats or apple carplay.. That's actually funny to me because I spend most of the time listening to the motor and my exhaust.. No one buy's these cars for creature comforts.. They buy them for the Coyote power and sound..

I'm looking to get one of these and I did feel a little down on the interior, however I did not get a change to play around with the touch screens and features. It seems like it does have many modern features inside that system and it looks properly responsive. Something I do not like about the S550 digital screens is that they feel laggy, mostly the digital cluster. Also, on this new model I like more the two split screens than the single whole screen, in the end the single one is still the two but linked by a piece of black plastic. I think I will go with a 301A with active exhaust. Thanks for the video and congrats on owning a GT350!

The new gauges are much better than the last one. The tech overall is better. Active exhaust sounds amazing, great value. It's a great car, I liked it alot.

They just raised the performance pack to $5295 and with the magnetic suspension you're going to pay $7045 just for those two options. Thanks for this review!

The performance package is available on the base GT, not only the premium and dark horse, I had ordered my 5.0 about 2 months ago, got the 5.0 with performance package and black package with A exhaust

Yup. What I meant was the Magneride is only available on the premium and darkhorse.

Good video and I agree with your overview. The Dark Horse on the track is amazing. Better than the Mach I and better than the GT-350 but not the GT-350R but very very close to the R. Lowering the weight by 300 pounds significantly changes the Dark Horse. Best brakes on a car period!!!!! My recommendation is buy the S650 with the GT Performance option most definitely!!! Interesting perspective because every thing that I have read puts the Mach 1 ahead of the Dark Horse on the track, especially in terms of steering feel and weight balance.

I got the same exact car except for a oxford white The sterewheel gets in way of the instrument panel

It’s gotten way too expensive for a lot of people! I mean, that’s expensive. No way to sugarcoat it but it sure is beautiful. Probably worth the money too!

It is expensive but when you consider the performance compared to others it does provide an argument as a value.

From my research, performance pack for normal city driving not needed but magna ride certainly is.

The thing is I don't think you can get magneride without the performance package. Also I found the ride with the normal fixed suspension perfectly fine for city driving.

I'm getting the GT premium with $19,000 in options that i want, and the Dark Horse is still more expensive, so i lose 14 Hp who cares

The factory delivered my 2024 GT 5.0 late last year. Engine is outstanding. This is my third mustang in my 49 years on this planet and I can't believe how many times I've almost died trying to use the new air, heat, and other screen features while driving. It is an absolute disaster. I'm going to have to take the car back because it is utterly unsafe to drive if you actually have to interact with the infotainment screen while driving. Nothing is intuitive and most things take multiple screens to get through. How in the world Ford thinks that this car is safe is beyond me. Either put the dials back that people can adjust while keeping their eyes on the road or rip out all the screen technology. It would be a lot safer and less infuriating.

I have a 2024 GT as well. I personally find it very simple to mess around with both screens while driving. But note there is also a button the steering wheel that allows you to voice control most features of the car. You can tell it what temp to set the car to, what fan speed, defrosters, etc.

Get the 6 speed manual, save 2 grand. Automatic is good too though.
