I made the choice long ago, naturally aspirated bolt on only cars. For track cars, it is just a headache to do anything otherwise. Best bet is to buy two cars. One to beat on that runs and the other if you want crazy power, don't expect it to run flawlessly.
@scourgeofbloodclan39863 жыл бұрын
Or just buy a daily driver and a factory fast car for the track. Heavily modifying a car, and keeping it running, is a pain in the ass and a head ache. And keep in mind that racing is also expensive so when you go to add that to the running costs of the heavily modified car.

@Michael_Lorenson4 жыл бұрын
Commercials pay the bills. If they really bother you, but you don't want to be that schmuck who 'steals' You Tube by using an ad blocker, get Premium. It costs about the same as Netflix or Hulu. I have Premium, and I spend FAR more time here than on either of those (which I do also have). There's really no comparison, in fact. For me, it's worth every penny and then some.
@mattf490064 жыл бұрын
@@Michael_Lorenson ....every freaking video of vin wiki and every other vlog I follow here are sponsored,have patreon and viewer fed support and at least two ads on the screen from the creator for the sponsor. I dont mind ads or sponsored content ( it indeed pays the content creator unlike you tube premium) but for fucks sake put a 30 second ad before the content instead of a series of 6 to 14 second ads every 3 to 5 minutes in a 20 minute video
@Michael_Lorenson4 жыл бұрын
@@mattf49006 Well, I agree that Vinwiki overdoes it in an obnoxious way. Honestly I'd forgotten about that because I don't have to deal with it anymore, but it was actually one of the sites that pushed me into Premium. So I gotta give you that. And Premium subs not paying anything to creators does surprise me. Still, from my perspective strictly as a viewer, Premium is a no-brainer. I'm philosophically opposed to IP theft, which I consider ad blockers to be. I'm sure lots of people would disagree, but we're not going to change each other's minds, so let's not go to war over it.
@mattf490064 жыл бұрын
@@Michael_Lorenson ..I'm of the same opinion of ad blockers on content sites such as you tube myself however they have moved to sprinkling then thru out the videos often right in the middle of a important part of the video I dont mind a 30 second deal before or after as it does pay the creator ad revenue which is fair...unfortunately sites like twitch know this and creators as migrating to other venues

No, its when you calculate how much you've spent on the car itself and realize you could have bought a house as a renovation project and flipped it and made profit and your wife would have been happy. Having cars as a hobby, generally guarantees that you're throwing money away unless you're on the high levels of collecting low-production/special edition cars and hoping they double in value in 20 years

AutoTempist rocks. I found my 2017 Camaro 2SS Fifty edition back in July on it. Found it out of state.

Let's remember the original project car shootout and how Tommy's GT-R got wrecked not long before the shoot, and instead of dipping, he pulled some sheet metal, cut some stuff up, squeezed bigger tires on it and still showed up

sc400 with the 1uz v8 as that motor is a hidden gem of Toyota being very smooth, having internals that could take a massive beating and add a few bits into it to make it 1k hp capable, and last being something that's not overly done compared to other motors.

Have you guys thought about podcasting?These guys seem to really good story tellers. With your already existing platform I believe you could fill the void of basically 0 car podcasts

my car made 1206/1190 through a auto and drives fantastic. stays cool cruising on the street, pump e85, blast the music and roll windows down!! runs low 8's in the 1/4. its about buying the right parts and spending the time to refine your setup. cheap, reliable, fast. pick two

I’ve been there with my old S13. I saved up for years to build it up. It only had 380whp, but it broke all the time. I stayed up till 3am working on it all the time. I dumped a bunch of money into it all the time. And they closed our only track here in Hawaii. I got tired of dumping money into it And sold it for nothing compared to what I had into it. Now, fifteen years later. I really wish I still had that car lol.

I let parts break before i swap them. Suspension worn out? Buy coilover, bushings torn. Change them to powerflex poly bushings. Turbo starts leaking (mostly because i’m running the turbo to hard) well change to bigger one.
