Baz10 Cheers took a dive after season 3, but somehow they managed to pull a gem out of their ass with giving frasier his own show. If I were at that meeting I would have argued against the show, but I would have been very wrong. The new cast of characters with a more dynamic set with the same writers had me rolling like the original Cheers episodes did.

I think in addition to "Frasier" having great writing and a talented cast with a strong working relationship, what contributed to the show's success was the fact the the five lead characters (Frasier, Martin, Niles, Daphne and Roz) were all likeable and intelligent. There are so many sitcoms full of obnoxious, self-absorbed or stupid characters that Frasier was like a breath of fresh air.
@chandlerwhite83025 жыл бұрын

Really like “Frasier”...I watch the reruns often. Did not get to see it when it was first aired, I was “on call” all the time. Work, work, work. Luckily, once I retired, I was able to watch all the episodes. John Mahoney could “say” more with an expression than many actors can with lots of words. That uuuuggggly chair of his was a riot...all that duct tape. Jane Leeves, so talented. David Hyde Pierce is fantastic. That episode where he did not speak while the fiasco of his suit pants went on...sheer genius. All the cast just worked so well together. Wished it had continued after Niles and Daphne had their first baby...seeing Niles dealing with a newborn would have been hilarious.!!
