Dr Peterson and John Vervaeke discuss entropy reduction, the idea of "oneness" and how they relate to our perception of the world.
John Vervaeke is an Associate Professor in Cognitive Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Toronto. His work constructs a bridge between science and spirituality to help understand the experience of meaningfulness and the cultivation of wisdom to afford awakening from the meaning crisis.

I need to take his writing course. Vaguely remember but I think it starts off teaching you to write your life story. I’m probably gonna need to see a hypnotist to recall a lot of stuff I went through as a child. Being poor and growing up in the 80s and 90s was no joke. At least for me it was. If you want to be a parent I think you should have to meet some requirements. Be examined to be fit. So many kids grow up alone locked in their rooms with no love or communication in the household. It’s a dark dark place to be in. Pray for all the kids with parents addicted to drugs, to messed up to give love and attention to these poor innocent children. I’m 41 and just learning to face life. No answers in partying and drinking. Have to do a deep dive. The answers are there. You can overcome anything

I think the reason why that happens is because the core value is something akin to "true growth", it seems to also explain why the pursuit of a goal is more fulfilling than attaining the goal itself. This might even be the value all life shares, with true taking on slightly different definitions. In fact, it's hard to imagine life existing without this value, I've personally found it impossible.

Brain and philosophty of mind always an Interesting topic our brains filter and interpret the vast amount of sensory information that we receive, but this process is not perfect. In fact, generally, some scientists and philosophers argue that our brains may be actively hiding certain aspects of reality from us, such as the true nature of time or the complexity of consciousness.

I'm more interested in what my brain reveals to me. Years ago I had troubles sleeping in which I developed a skill to communicate with my body and subconscious and I've been practicing this ever since. It's a very interesting experience to me at least, and I see consciousness as a source of light in different shapes depending on circumstances: when in the flow it's a laser pointer, when working it's a flash light, when day dreaming it's like a flood light or a ceiling fixture and when dreaming, it's like the sun radiating in all directions. Of course, your experience of the outside world is very limited during your sleep/dream (though not completely 0), but everything on your inside becomes accessible to a large degree.

@FHBStudio
@FHBStudio Жыл бұрын
@@stadiagamer9689 I guess the easiest way to get started is to shock your body or subconscious into providing you with a dream. For example, if you cut something from your diet (for me, this was carbs/sugar) you may get a dream from your body. Or if you move a lot of objects in a space you're not all that often (for me this was my attic) you may get a dream from your subconscious. The easiest way to view your dreams is probably to interrupt a sleep cycle close to waking up anyway, and then sleeping in for another 90 minutes. At that point your consciousness should've been awakened enough to be able to observe dreams while your dream state hasn't been so disrupted that it falls apart entirely. That's how I do it anyway. I set an alarm at 5:30 and then sleep in until 7, though usually I perceive my dreams before then as well. Lemme know how this works out for you.
@MojoVince
@MojoVince Жыл бұрын
@@FHBStudio I've had view my dreams like that, always in the morning, having a good sleep and pushing it a little bit further. I also let the curtains open at every time to awake me naturally a bit. I never sleep in ptich black, feels unatural.
@FHBStudio
@FHBStudio Жыл бұрын
@@MojoVince I do sleep in pitch black but I'm not sure how much of a benefit that is considering I am completely comatose and my alarm doesn't wake me up anymore lol. My dreams tend to integrate the sound so I regularly try to shut off the alarm going off in my dream to no avail.

Your subconscious mind will catalog your preferences for navigating the path of least resistance. Your brain will lock a preference in as default go to setting… All while you are busy thinking about a zillion other things. This is why some people have a difficult time growing up, after they become an adult. Old habits are hard to break. Subconscious habits are nearly impossible to even find!

The left hand path then is simple and easy to define now. The social valor is what we all have in common. It's only intelligence that has the calculus and money problem. Even if we see the future and even if I'm the god here, no one gets to claim godhood if that makes any sense. Respect isn't about intelligence, which seems to devolve into status forms of corruption where status was more important than integrity. But social valor solved that problem. Because no matter who thinks of something first no one among us could afford to lose our social valor so no one wants to claim that type of status. The only reason I was compelled to claim Satanic Status, which is a paradox if not a contradiction, was to make the social valor more easily known so that Christians don't have an excuse to ignore social valor within themselves. The beauty of social valor. It's a vibe, not a resume. It's self evident to people who have it and it's comforting to recognize it in someone else, so no one's resistant to recognizing social valor when one has it. This contrasts with status, where people tend to be afraid of recognizing anyone they'd fear would've taken their place. That's why social valor is essentially safer and more peaceful than intelligence based societies. If intelligence was placed before social valor then integrity would've been necessarily excluded and so morality too. That's why I can go anywhere. I have social valor. It's that simple. Demons keep their humanity by tracing their lineage to a living relative or friend. Anyone who'd try some superstitious voodoo to try to have power over a demon would be tempted and seduced by a false sense of importance until they lost their soul and a demon got to enjoy some freedom. Social valor then isn't power over someone else. That's what demons play against. That's why power and oppression is a God vice, not a Satanic one. Interestingly when social valor is excluded God creates his own hell. God tends to oppress himself and then rise against himself. So social valor is a vibe. If you have it then you'd be grateful to recognize it in another. That's another example of the advantage of the left hand path. It's present focused whereas religion tends to imprison itself in its own past in some strange form of self absorption in a collective manner. Perhaps that's what culture is, collective self absorption.

I liken entropy to a well functioning, highly trained athlete, training for a competition - until sickness or injury come. Let's say that these aren't debilitating (or perhaps they are?) but the competition is still scheduled. Short of declining to compete, the athlete sees their dreams becoming nightmarishly complicated and is overwhelmed by the enormity of it. What do I tell them? Focus your training on what you can do, not what you can't do. Work the elements that are uninjured. It's sometimes a surprise when your competition goes better than originally planned! But don't focus on the end result, but doing what can be done in order to at least make a good show.
