I made this point in a separate comment: this is the first time with the many JP interviews I've seen where his interruptions really are a drag on the whole conversation. Sometimes his interjections expand the talk but most often in this case it's just him dragging a fascinating conversation back down to his typical interests, logos, religion, axioms. Poor JL - who we've all come to here to see - has to sit patiently and wait till he can speak again. Just like us. I wish JP had been more respectful. And silent.

0:00: 📚 Dr. James Lindsey discusses the evolution of Marxism into various oppressor/oppressed ideologies and its influence on modern culture. 9:32: 💡 The conversation explores the relationship between post-modernism and new Marxism, highlighting the skepticism of meta-narratives and the focus on power dynamics and oppression in social interactions. 19:24: 📚 The discussion delves into the relationship between power, gnosticism, and the battle between Cain and Abel in the context of the culture war. 30:00: 👨🎓 The speaker left academia after completing a PhD in math and chose not to apply for academic jobs due to the university's focus on student retention rather than merit. 38:05: 📚 The speaker shares their journey from being a massage therapist to getting involved in academic activities. 46:46: 📚 The speaker discusses their project of using GPT to write academic papers and their background in mathematics and the humanities. 55:42: 📚 The speaker became motivated to criticize the corruption in academia after reading a paper that attacked scientific methodology and promoted feminist perspectives in glaciology. 1:05:07: 📚 The scientific enterprise is embedded in the Judeo-Christian project, and the axioms of a conceptual system are fundamentally religious. 1:13:26: 🗣 Jonah's story is about how God warns him about the people of Nineveh deviating from the straight and narrow path. 1:22:17: 💡 The speaker discusses the importance of speaking up and not holding one's tongue when called upon to speak. 1:31:27: 😱 The speaker discusses the idea of a 'great narrative' for a better future, which involves centralization of power, transformation of society, and global cooperation, all managed by elites. 1:39:44: 🤡 The speaker discusses the concept of Net Zero and the absurdity of having 170 goals, highlighting the lack of cost-benefit analysis and the negative consequences of certain environmental policies. 1:48:48: 🗣 The importance of humility and gratitude in resisting becoming monstrous and prideful. NICE timestamping for others. I understand Lindsay is a mathematician who as an exercise tried to reverse engineer academic papers and wrote many “fakes” successfully. Almost like “mapping” the content of what get approved-then he determined which “words” meant pretty much the same thing - almost like a linguistic factor analysis that takes language and tries to treat the concepts as factors - I think a factor analysis model is more apt than “genus / species” but there isn’t really a way to map English to math - yet - which AI might “try”. Key issue between math and English - I say is no mathematicians argue about what an “=“ is - but the powerful will negotiate what “is” is to its benefit. Control the language. I disagree that it’s a theological infrastructure - it’s a “POWER” hierarchy - not a COMPETENCY one. Maybe a theological infrastructure implies DOGMA you cannot question but behind that is POWER decides - not “you”

As a former hermetic gnostic I can attest this argument is absolute truth. I first observed this truth when converting to true Christian faith after a near death experience during which I encountered Jesus Christ. After my conversion I instantly saw the world without the scales over my eyes, and the obvious spiritual battle that has been taking place for hundreds of years is constantly repeating. That which has been done will be done again, and there is nothing new under the sun.

Ironically, one of the things that changed me from a militant anti-theist to a Christian is the intrusion of intersectional third wave feminism. It was an eye opener to see what feminism and wokeism was really about, which made me question many things including my own beliefs and lack thereof. Thanks feminism for turning me against you and helping me rediscover my faith!

@@JoneThePwn Part of the interview was a discussion about Jonah, not following God’s will to preach to Ninevah, by keeping silent, he ended up almost drowned and then was swallowed by “a great fish “ which is analogous to going to hell. The meaning according to Jordan is holding your tongue when you need to speak out against evil, you will end up in a worse, a hellish, existence.

@@Rocksteady246 you know fine well. Besides why should anybody be without fault? But character assassination is much easier than actually refuting what either have said so why not give a shot? Peterson taught at Harvard University and Lindsay is a mathematician with a PhD from Tennessee university. These are impressive academic credentials, moreover Lindsay with Pluckrose and Boghossian authored the so called Sokal squared hoaxes which showed how corrupted certain fields in academia have become (the grievances studies). Their conversation was fascinating since Lindsay has evolved from the new Atheist movement to critique the degeneration of the left with its obsession with identity politics. A new totalitarian impulse has made its way into the mainstream - just look how JK Rowling or Kathleen Stock have been treated. If in doubt listen to Konstantin Kisin Even in my field (dentistry) I have seen the infiltration of CRT.

Pertaining to the point at 1:10:45, I'm a recent Ph.D. graduate in Organizational Psychology. I applied to over 30 institutions across Canada and the USA. Over half told me they would either prioritize or only higher BIPOC and women and that I shouldn't have applied due to my skin colour. All of them required me to write a statement on how my research in psychometrics and statistics somehow supported DEI initiatives. I had friends coach me to say I was either gay or part-indigenous to get past the algorithms. Absolutely ridiculous. I ended up giving up on academia altogether and finding work in the industry. I now tell every graduate student who asks to absolutely avoid academia, especially if they can't fit a diversity quota.

About 40 years ago my husband and I heard Voegelin at Boston University and being in that hall and listening to him can only be remembered as a spiritual experience. We knew we were listening to some of the most profound and truest of ideas. We always wanted his writings to be more widely read and promoted. We are always encouraging others to read Voegelin. We've read several of his works and the writings of Barry Cooper who advances Voegelin's thought. Kuddos to you for really going true and deep in your analysis.
