I’ve replaced heated seats before on cars. It’s actually not that bad a job if you wanted to tackle it in your garage. A bit labor intensive but not impossible. I personally would do it on a car like that Mercedes only because it has leather seats and that would drive me absolutely crazy. But yeah if you get the part from Mercedes-Benz which will probably cost you an arm and a leg it can be done by the average DIYer. I’m sure JR could help you out with that in fact. For your brake pedal issue it can all be due to the pads and rotors. My c4 corvette had the same issue (from the previous owner) I ended up replacing most of the brake system and it ended up being the wrong types of pads were put on
@computiNATEor4 жыл бұрын
The “wrong” pads won’t cause a soft brake pedal. That points to a master cylinder (perhaps an internal leak), a bad brake booster (or a bad vacuum regulator/suction jet pump leading to the brake booster), or perhaps a DSC/ABS module or solenoid assembly issue. Lots of stuff to check.

@joeottsoulbikes4154 жыл бұрын
An ideal for your Car Ninja. A buddies car did the same thing after a pad change. He had a car that varied the braking on each wheel based on the traction it felt the car had. The flexy section of hoses between hard line and caliper has a steel mesh reinforcement in the rubber. The mechanic let the caliper hang by the hose while changing the pads. The steel mesh broke in one hose. So the hose flexed due to fluid pressure like a bubble at the tear causing a strange pedal feel. It only happens when the car is sending extra pressure to that hose. That's why pedal feel is inconsistant in his car. Maybe yours too?

Snap! The “alarm module” on my 1997 Bentley Turbo R LWB has also decided to quit. Unfortunately I left the car for the last 2 years without starting as didn’t have a clue what was wrong with it, and now have quite a project ahead to get it back on the road.. Planned as follows: 1). Once I remove the dashboard to extract the faulty alarm module and send it off to get repaired, I must also 2). Do a pre-engine crank service: - change the engine oil & filter - syphon out the old fuel and refuel with fresh fuel - change spark plugs - top up hydraulic mineral oil - change the battery - (pump the tyres) 3) After 2-6 weeks, once I get the repaired “Alarm module” posted back, arrange to get it installed 4). Fingers crossed it starts... if so I will take it on a long run to an MOT garage where it will then be MOT’d , possibly taking it first to another mechanic en route to check the transmission oil (might change), and to “wax oil” any significant rust Then done ✅

I don't like car cruelty, but this one might actually deserved that fate... such utter piece of rubbish. It's not even that good-looking... looks like a giant brick.

I have been watching your channel for a few months now, and enjoy it immensely. It has proven to be educational. I now know not to buy European cars, they are too expensive and costly to maintain. I have also learned there are a lot of car buffs and mechanics in Kansas City. There are Ninjas, Wizards, and one guy that's always going. Thanks for assisting me with my continuing education and laughter.

If the parts break in the first place chances are they'll break again. Especially if they break after only a little usage.
