I is a bit on the expensive side when it comes to maintenance (I have just paid 1000$ for 4 Zimmerman rotors and Akebono brake pads), but it is OK for me...Everything comes at a price, so Toyota, honda, kia, hyundai,....and all the plastic toys of sort.....please keep them awaaaaaay from me....A Lexus/Acura would be fine by me though...

@@hitek9too255 I've had MBs for 20+years and only one Lexus LS400. I slightly preferred the handling characteristics of the former, but greatly prefer the latter overall. Things seemed always to be breaking on the German cars whereas the quality of engineering, construction and components of the Toyota product were reflected in the excellent reliability. The local MB dealer's service manager drove a Toyota. A friend even got rid of his Bentley Continental in favor of a Lexus and was very happy he did. So, believe what you will. Afterall, they are just transportation machines. But I prefer mine to work. Happy New Year.

I don't remember the exact models of the other 3 but I will say that all four vehicles including that 94 Lexus are in Immaculate condition and still running like sewing machines. My father always told me if you take care of your car/s it will take care of you. his secret to all his vehicles having little to no major problems. Keep it tuned up. In my area it averages $110 dollar per hour using a flat rate manual. OEM parts are expensive because they are imported from Germany when repairing a Mercedes. I recently had the water pump replaced on my Mercedes SLK 320. In addition to replacing the pump it is recommended to replace the serpentine belt and thermostat at the same time. Total cost of parts and labor was $910 dollars.
