While some people refuse to recognize anything without Ozzy as Sabbath or anything without Ozzy or Dio as Sabbath, the band made a damn good record with Ian Gillan and four damn good ones with Tony Martin. There’s also a decent one with Glenn Hughes on vocals. They’re all Black Sabbath albums, whether anyone likes it or not, including me. To my ears, the true Sabbath sound comes from the combination of Iommi’s guitar and Geezer’s bass. Those are the two key ingredients. When you hear it, you think, “There it is!” Many bands have tried to replicate it, but none has succeeded. You’re not gonna out-Sabbath those two guys.

Morally, Ozzy had no claim to the name Black Sabbath, but Iommi was the sole owner and he gave half the name to the Osbournes because Sharon demanded that in order for the reunion of the original line-up to take place in the late 90s. Tony knew that, even with only half ownership, he’d make more money than ever off the reunion and he certainly did. That’s why the Dio line-up with Vinnie Appice on drums was called Heaven & Hell afterwards. Sharon wouldn’t allow Tony (or anyone) to do anything under the name Black Sabbath without Ozzy.

Ozzy’s luck is crazy. He was never a singer until he joined Black Sabbath. Just look at his range between their self titled and albums like Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Sabotage. Amazing vocalist. He very well could’ve ended up in a Birmingham factory for all we know

Sharon Osbourne’s moral compass is a lot like Bobby Knight. In other words, if I do one good deed on a certain day it gives me the currency to be a douchebag on another day. Sharon saved Ozzy’s life, stood by him, and made him a prolonged icon. In the actual paragraph you quote you can clearly read Geezer is here talking about his relationship with Tony, calling it like a marriage, this is not about Ozzy at all! Also Geezer was the bassist obviously, guitar is Tony Iommi being one the most legendary guitarists ever. Crazy how you can get this wrong. Please do better.

Not sure where they got this history of the band but parts of it are wrong. Iommi and (some of the others) saw an ad and went to Ozzy to recruit him. Iommi had been in the same school as Ozzy and thought he was weird but they needed a singer so picked him.

Ozzy was the vocalist for a band called "The Rare Breed" the band was only together for a few performances but split up, Ozzy only sung for family members during special occasions before deciding to do it professionally. Also Black Sabbath were not just influenced by the blues, psychedelia, or hard rock, they also had alot of jazz and prog rock influences too, don't forget gustav holtz either.

It’s always greed isn’t it. Each member is only famous because of the band dynamics. Black Sabbath is why they are famous. If it wasn’t for the band, they might all still be working in a factory. Ozzie on his own couldn’t have toured America if it hadn’t been for Black Sabbath. They should be sharing everything equally. But when gold is flashed before your face, you have a decision to make between loyalty and morals and selfishness. Greed always spoils everything.
