I love Metallica. But, there is something about Black Sabbath. I guess its the word SOUL. A mystical spiritual depth. No speed guitarist, no "Best drummer" in the world, can imitate soul. BLACK SABBATH, the spiritual masters of Metal. They are like the YODA of metal, masters with a huge depth that will last for ever.

Definitely! Roger wrote most of the lyrics. He left and, to my mind, I don't think they had success with the other bassist. I mean he's good! Roger's bass playing is simple, but check out the way he keeps time. There are many bands that cover Pink Floyd, yet rarely do I hear a song rendered right.

You're giving Ozzy too much credit. The truth is simply that he COULD sing in those days. I think they're playing it in the original key here which is not James' natural key. That will be why he's struggling. I don't even think the Garage inc recording was in the original key.

Robert trujillo couldn't have sat this one out? What was the point of having geezer on the stage if trujillo just plays over top of him.

I don't like Jackson RR Models but Kirk's is the best one out there. Dude had to wait at the Jackson factory in 1985 for the glue on the nut to dry before he could pick it up.

I am not a huge Metallica fan. But I love the fact they turn into little fanboys even after all these years and success and fame and money they have had when a member of Sabbath or Queen gets on stage. They show respect to their childhood heroes (and even former band members like Ron McGovney or Dave Mustaine despite all their earlier feuds). Gotta respect their attitude and appreciating their fans.
